FWIW regarding the Hocevar news, there ARE some rumblings that he's a possibility for that ride next year, but it's contingent on some things. Toyota is going to get JHN into the Cup Series next year; that's an automatic. However, now that we know that Denny still hasn't finalized everything with JGR because of the ongoing uncertainty around 23XI and Toyota, there is a scenario out there in which Denny goes to race for 23XI (presumably with Ford), JHN goes to the 11 car next year, and Hocevar lands in the 42 (also Toyota). Do I think it's likely? No. Toyota can't lose Kyle Busch one year and then lose Denny Hamlin the next. That's a HORRIBLE look for a manufacturer, especially one that has the fewest cars on the track every week. If they lose KB to Chevy and Denny to Ford, they're basically admitting that they're the farm system for the "big" manufacturers.
