Good to see Bayne get an opportunity to race in three Xfinity Series this season.

He was supposed to run the full schedule for Gibbs this season and the sponsorship fell apart 3-4 weeks before daytona.

Xfinity Series race is going to start soon. I know that Smackdown is must watch tonight for obvious reasons, but ill probably focus on the race and watch Smackdown after. Especially since I can't watch Smackdown on my TV. Looking forward to the Daytona races!

Sucks that a concussion forced Kurt out before he was really ready to go.

Sucks that Kurts having to retire due to concussion issues instead of being able to step away on his own terms. I had kept open the possibility that maybe Kurt could eventually recover and race a couple of times before he hangs up the fire suit but I guess that's officially not going to happen.

Kurt went from one of the most hated drivers back in the day, to becoming one of the most loved drivers by the time he was done.


Those years of driving for really shit teams I think is part of what helped him become less of a hot head, and gain fan support. He realized that just because he has talent, doesn't mean he can act like an asshole and still be able to be in top rides. So he made improvements to better himself, and fans noticed that. It's what turned me into a fan. As you both said, it really sucks he can't go out on his own terms.

Thankfully this being the last of the regular season. As long as you have a race left to use someone, you can use whoever as it starts back over with 5 next week.
