Agree completely with both of you there. No, nobody's ever gonna win 35 races, but the fact that it's even within the realm of possibility shows how broken this system is.
I think Austin Dillon will be fined $100,000 dollars and suspended for Michigan. With some sort of ramifications to the points situation, where his win may not have gotten him in playoffs. But I don't see them taking the win away officially
Joey Logano I see a big monetary fine $50-100 thousand dollars for nearly hitting fan's on pit road.
Regardless I'm liking the drama between 3 drivers that I don't care for at all Ha!
It's whatever. They can dish out all of the penalties and fines all that they want but it wont fix the root problem that's causing all of this and the huge flaw in the system. Whether Dillon deserves to have the win removed from playoff eligibility or not.
Spotter getting suspended was rightfully done. They probably knew that was incoming. Cannot encourage Dillon to wreck others.
Yea, I think the spotter suspension was pretty evident when the audio came out. That guy's lucky he only got 3 races TBH.
I'm fine with the Dillon suspension, but like Stellar, I don't think it really solves a whole helluva a lot. Somebody else is going to do something like this. Plus, now, how far does it go? If we're in the round of 8 and two guys who are battling to get into the top 4 get together, does the one who initiated contact not get through?
I think it depends on how bad it is. Like I think if Austin was just on Joey’s rear end for a while and moved him, and only him, nothing happens. But he did come from like 4 car lengths back to knock Joey out of the way, and then the hook on Denny. But yeah I don’t think if two guys are racing side by side and one happens to bump and spin the other guy out they do anything.
I’m HOPING the right hook of Denny is what did it. I’m sorry, the move on Joey has been a part of NASCAR since it started. If we’re penalizing that, there’s problems.
Silly Season News: AJ Allmendinger will be in the Cup Series full time next season, in the #16 Kaulig Car. If that sounds familiar, it's because he was in it...LAST SEASON before they inexplicably demoted him this year.
Allmendinger should have stayed in the cup series. Other than to help Kauligs xfinity series program overall I imagine that they also moved Allmendinger back down especially to help SVG...but truly I think of Dinger as a cup series driver.
SVG has quietly done better than I thought during the whole year by the way. I know about the 3 wins but he also has had some consistency of decent or good finishes. So IF he goes up to the cup series next year (for Trackhouse), going to be interesting to see what exactly happens with Kauligs Xfinity Series program...because as much as I like Josh Williams....he is 18th in points.
Some Sponsor-related Silly Season, Kroger is leaving JTG for RFK after this season. Not sure what that means for JTG, but that's a sponsorship that's been in place for a decade, so it's a big blow.
