Verlander took a bit to get his groove in the first game, JT looked good, was afraid of what Severino we would get tonight. Besides the unfortunate 3 run homer, he’s been looking pretty good.

To be fair to Carpenter, he hasn't done shit because he did not come off the IL until the postseason. I agree with giving him a start to get him the ABs to get him going, but clearly it didn't work.

I’m aware he was on IL until the post season, that’s no excuse to toss him in and expect him to do anything, he’s a cold bat, we don’t need that now.

Not that “swing and a miss” isn’t something we regularly hear almost every time a Yankee is up to bat because most of them either swing for the fences or swing for posts outside the strike zone.
