But tbf that does happen often early on, a big name school with a good recruiting class is overrated and then it normalizes after a couple weeks when we see them perform

It's almost as if their QB last year was the real deal and they can't keep up without him.

Can't wait to see what he does in the NFL. In a few years.

UGA during the Mark Richt era had a few that fell under that category. Or just underachieved.

2006 Michigan comes to mind as well. Although that was mainly just an implosion.

Team to keep an eye on: UNLV.

Impressive as hell in their opening win vs. Houston.

HC Barry Odom has done a masterful job of turning around a woeful college football program, going 10-5 since arriving.

Can this team get an at-large playoff bid if they win the Mountain West? Depends on the record.

This team looks dangerous with its run-heavy 'go-go' offense as it's called. The defense on Saturday was stifling.

Big test vs. a resurgent Kansas program in a couple of weeks.

The down side to all of this is Odom and his OC Brennan Marion will probably go on to bigger programs after the season if they have another surprisingly good season like last year.

But, as things stand right now, these guys are moving up the ladder in the FBS.
