I have bittersweet feelings about it as my father passed away not knowing if they were going to make it in or not. It was a fairly emotional day last weekend between the Big 12 Championship and the selection show on Sunday. I’m happy that they’re in, because I think they did enough to merit inclusion, but I also feel bad for Florida State and think that the committee has kind of tarnished this year’s title for whoever wins it.
That being said, if, and it’s a big if, they can beat Washington, I really like their chances at winning the whole thing. The Michigan matchup is favourable for them on both sides of the ball and they’ve already beaten your guys this year! So, I have cautious optimism and I’m also just glad we’re not playing Tulane or SMU in any of the consolation bowls. Hook ‘em!
About a year ago, I was invited to attend a "space camp" at NASA. It was extremely interesting, despite being very secure. We had to give proper identification, give our fingerprints, and sign 6 consent forms, but after all that preparation, we were finally allowed to enter. I met astronauts and many astrophysicists. They described how it felt to be in space, and I saw a prototype of the Mars rover. However, the attraction that caught my eye the most was a live feed that came from a camera on the International Space Station. I watched it for hours, and even with a view of the entire world, I still couldn't find who asked.
