Yep, that's right. The first CFP rankings will be unveiled next Tuesday.

They really need to stop doing weekly rankings for the CFP. It doesn't do anything but poison the apple. Put out the final ranking that determine who are in the playoff and that's it.

No reason to tell someone where they are now when the goal is not to be where they are now.

If they really want to do these early rankings, have the #1 team clinch a playoff spot, then remove them from the rankings and continue to process until you get to the end of the season. Otherwise you're just polluting the minds of the fans. Say some school from the ACC is #1 now they go undefeated the CFP has zero excuse for dropping them but they will because the other school plays in the SEC.

All that might be so. But I still enjoy seeing it. Even if sometimes they aren’t exactly right. It is what it is. I still enjoy the polls and everything
