I don’t even care for the Giants, and even I know Eli deserves respect.

He indeed deserves it. He defeated Tom Brady both Super Bowls they appeared in.

I think the biggest thing people wanna disqualify Eli on was the fact he didn't win a lot of awards.

Which he didn't. But he was also always the 7th best QB in the league at a time when there was Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Phillip Rivers, Matthew Stafford, Aaron Rodgers, and Drew Brees. Like come on people.

But those same people that argue against Eli will say Russell Wilson is a HOFer

Yeah some people are just awards over stats kind of guys.

A good way of explaining the Hall of Fame is something to the effect of: "Can you tell the story of the NFL without them?"

I think you definitely could without Wilson, but you can't take away Eli's story of overcoming the odds twice against the same team to step out of the shadow of his brother and father.

If Matty Ice won that Super Bowl he definitely be a lock. Surely when you add on he is top 10 all time on passing yards and touchdowns. Top 5 in passes completed. I think he does still get in. But that Super Bowl would make it a guarantee.
