The Pacers are moving on to the Eastern Conference Finals with the win 130-109!

Really pulling for them to beat the Celtics. The Celtics had to go through a Heat Team without Butler and Mitchell not playing for the Cavs when it mattered. Siakam could play a major role in them getting past the Celtics if Porzingis is no where near healthy.

I mean that is your opinion Grim but if he's overrated then where does that leave Kat and Gobert? Granted your two guys are great but the problem Joel has had is health because the Man would be a 2 Time MVP right now and possibly reaching the Conference Finals right now possibly.

Probably around the same amount as Gobert and KAT had probably more because he's been to the Playoffs more than them I think. He didn't really have talent around him till they brought in Butler and Tobias before losing to Kawhi's Raptors. Embiid has played 59 Games in the Playoffs and Gobert has 63, and 26 for KAT. Pretty sure we've lost two or three times to the Celtics during his Team there and one of those times was when the Celtics had Kyrie Irving. Did you guys miss that Celtics Series the Sixers had them on the Ropes up a Game and the Team fell apart and everyone was to blame for that Game 7 Performance. How about the lost at Home to the Hawks where people were wanting Ben Simmons gone as that Embiid's fault or what? The Man had 31 points and no one else helped that Game.

Maxey is the first guy he had to really rely on and give them points Game in and Game out in ages and they need another guy like that while adding to the Bench to really put themselves over the hump I feel. One guy doing anything can go so far ask Brunson how that feels. I saw Iverson do the same thing till they met the Lakers in the Finals and they found out who is the better Team that Series.
Lol Gobert or KAT aren't even the best players on the Wolves. KAT's arguably the #2 but the Wolves beat around Anthony Edwards.

I comparing Bigs homie and of course Ant is the Da man there we know that. He turned the corner with that this Season this Season. Give me a guy like ANT to go with the Core we've got and see what they can do.

The Offseason should be interesting because theirs alot of Teams that need to blow things up like the Bulls, Heat, and even the Suns right off hand in my opinion.

Embiid certainly doesn't SUCK, but I can understand people not being a fan of him 100%. Overrated, maybe. Depends where people are rating him. Best player in the league? I certainly wouldn't say so, but he's inarguably one of the best.

It's a complex issue but one I can relate to a lot as a Rockets fan. Harden was always one of, if not the most hated star player in the league during his peak. It was easy to shit on him and try to take away from what he was doing but I think from an unbiased perspective, you'd have to give him his props for the level he was at.

Of course, he had some of the most tragic playoffs meltdowns in history but he also spearheaded a ton of wins and made some pivotal plays, with the Rockets routinely winning playoff series and reaching the WCF on multiple occasions with a less than stellar, but people tend to overlook that. Hell, the 2018 Rockets were about to eliminate the Warriors dynasty and in all likelihood could have won the Finals, before CP3 got hurt and the team somehow missed 27 consecutive 3-pointers in that 3rd quarter, a handful a which I'm not gonna lie - they got fouled on and nothing was called. But I digress.

The reality of it is, when you have a star player on a massive contract that is extremely ball dominant, you live by the sword and die by the sword. You're gonna have to live with subpar supporting pieces most of the time. Your ability to win is mostly gonna hinge on how one player performs. It's easy to say "they don't have enough help, no one is stepping up" but when you're a player that is a vortex for the ball and you're dominating basically every offensive possession throughout the season, you can't bitch when the people around you aren't prepared to fill the void when you're having problems. It's like, you wanna win your MVP, put up crazy numbers and soak in all the adulation but when the going gets tough, it's still on your shoulders to get the team wins.

Now I personally am not that big on the "ring or bust" mentality and I also think that literally every star player in the NBA gets an undue amount of criticism, but I also think it's fair to have these conversations and for any player to want to claim they're the "best", they're gonna need a ring or two to back that up.

I will say Gobert shouldn’t have won DPOTY.

That was Wemby’s award

Not being bias but I’m rooting for Denver because I think a Celtics/Nuggets Finals is the best matchup out of the remaining teams

Isn't the best matchup ultimately between the two teams that win their respective conference?

Not necessarily. Teams have made the Finals and won the Championship when they weren’t the best team before

Miami wasn’t the best team in the East last year but got to the Championship

I think that would constitute them being the best, then. The game isn't played on paper. They beat the teams in front of them, which included the top two seeds in the conference. They were the best team in the East, don't see how it's even a debate. :draper2
