I suspect that Mason Ryan was not who most expected to see.

On RAW this week Ryan had a match against Kane which ended by DQ when Punk interferred but it was what happened after that match which put Mason Ryan in the spotlight. He was in the ring with Kane who tried to chokeslam him, Ryan powered out of the move and then hit him with the uranage. Then Ryan hit the spear on Big Show and left the ring on his own.

He took out the two biggest, in size, guys on the RAW roster Kane and Show who are the tag team champions all on his own. Don't forget that this was the mainevent match on RAW as well so he was the last featured wrestler before The Rock's final promo.

It seems like WWE is going to strap rockets on Ryan and push him like a star after that RAW.

Personally I think the guy is still too rough around the edges and is going to need a lot of help from the guys he wrestles to make him look good.

What do you think of Mason Ryan? Is he the next breakout star on RAW? What is next for him on RAW?

If only he was more agile, then I could really take him seriously. I think the WWE love his size and the fact he looks like Batista, which is probably why he's the only Nexus member that's actually been dominant. I noticed that he took out both Kane and Big Show, although he overpowered Kane where Show had just taken out Punk, McGillicutty and Otunga.

If you think about it, Ezekiel Jackson has pretty much been doing the same over on Smackdown. Ryan looked like he walked away from the Nexus after he took out Kane and Big Show, where Ezekiel Jackson...
was booted out of The Corre on Smackdown
So if the WWE looked at it the way I am, you'd have a dominant tag team right there who could be the ones to knock off the champs.

I think it's his facials and how he seems to carry himself out of the ring as much as anything but I like this guy. He's green as hell and will NEED to work with other big veterans like Show and Kane but with a year of high-ish profile feuds behind him and plenty more ring experience and I wouldn't be shocked to see this guy as a Worlds champ this time next year because of how Vince likes to book his guys that look like this.

A Mason Ryan/Ezekiel Jackson tag team doesn't appeal to me when the champions are Big Show and Kane. Those four wrestling in a match won't make for great viewing. I can see why they would be put together as a team but I don't think that that feud would be interesting to watch.

Couldn't agree more that Ryan is the future right now as a monster heel on Raw, and they kind of need his power right now.

If you look at the top heels on Raw now, Miz isn't big by any stretch of the imagination, ADR isn't either, and Punk is a far cry from it. Vince loves his big guys and Mason fits the bill.

Let's see what his push looks like in the coming weeks.

Mason Ryan was brought to nothing by Randy Orton the other time, and now he is dominating Kane and Big Show together.

The Animal in the news commented on drug policy, saying that he doesn't think that everyone is clean. Who knows, maybe he talked about Mason Ryan and steroids.

Oh, yeah. Forgot that Jericho called him Batis-two.

The push would be warranted if he wasn't so obviously green, I've seen smoother Eve matches.

I sure hope Punk is working with him, because if he isn't his push won't last, and go the way of Kozlov.

Kozlov man, I'm not sure what exactly happened there. The guy went from main eventing to disappearing off to ECW to teaming with Santino.

Ryan's still got a bit to go to get where Vlad was, but youre right, he definitely needs to be working with someone still.

Like all mentioned before Ryan does not look that polished in the ring. I do hope too Deezy that Punk is working with this man, because Punk will help make this guy look good which is what we need. To be honest if WWE drops the ball on this guy, and can you? I mean the dude looks like on of your former stars, he is big and huge, and not to mention he can speak pretty good English. The dude spells star power too me when it comes to a Wrestler, so really in my opinion he is the way to go, but I will not doubt Zeke is looking good, and he just needs a mouthpiece to make him even better.

He does have the look that makes Vince go weak at the knees. He is the size where you question whether he is clean but if he is passing the wellness tests then we must assume that he has a great training regime and some favourable genetics.

Has he talked before? I can't remember hearing him cut a promo. Does he have a thick accent? Ryan is probably the perfect case of a wrestler that could use a manager to hide some of his deficiencies.

Yeah he's talked a couple of times but never really said much. His accent isn't that thick but it's definitely there.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing: Vickie ditch Dolph because he's lost "The Look." She looks for a new man and sees Mason available and goes for him.

Dolph gets the opportunity to be a top face, something that's wide open on Raw, and Mason gets a mouthpiece that can possibly push him to the top.

I really like that idea as it solves three issues in one neat storyline. Unfortunately it makes so much sense WWE would never go for it.

Dolph needs a change to make himself important on RAW and ditching Vickie and turning face would do it. Vickie needs to be utilised as a heel manager so managing Mason Ryan because he has the look works for all involved.

Think that would be a great idea for a storyline, as for this guy I have yet to really see much of him so can't comment, other than it is always a risk to put someone so green in such a high level postition, if he doesn't learn quick it could destory him.
