wwe.com said:
After more than six months away, Wade Barrett is back. More vicious than ever, the rekindled Barrett Barrage has already torn through Yoshi Tatsu and Justin Gabriel. Brutally demonstrating he has “reignited the flame,â€￾ Barrett is again ready to make major waves in WWE.
During his beat down of Gabriel on the Sept. 17 episode of Raw, the bare-knuckle brawler showed no mercy as he brutalized his former Nexus cohort. The savagery he unloaded on his high-flying opponent was shocking, but also noteworthy was the fact that the WWE Universe broke out in chants of, “We want Nexus!â€￾ during the match.

I find it interesting that WWE would actually mention the "We want Nexus" chants on wwe.com. Yes the website has tried to appeal more to the internet fans in recent years but still I would have thought that they would completely ignore it since it doesn't fit with his new character. Since Barrett has returned he has basically only faced jobbers which is a vast change from what he was doing before his injury which was challenging top names like Orton. For most of his WWE career he has been a leader of a stable and done some quality work in that role but you have to wonder if they need to give him a shot on his own.

Do you see this actually leading anywhere or will it just be a fluff piece for wwe.com? Will Barrett form another stable (his third after Nexus and Corre)? Is Barrett better of on his own or as leader of a stable?

I think a really good booking idea would be for him to feign rebuilding the Nexus by talking to guys like Slater and Gabriel but then estbalish himself as total dominant badass singles superstar by laying them out. You could do it in one night or in 4 and on PPV but it would make sense. I don't think a legitimate Nexus is on the cards because they'll NEVER get the same impact they had before. The only way they'd be relevant would be aligning with someone like Punk and Lesnar align with the Paul Heyman; heat magnet.

I do however think we could do with a stable. There's been some 'power couples' as of late but no group larger than seemingly 3 people. I don't think Wade should be involved but I'd like to see a new stable for sure. In the same vein as the original Nexus I think plenty of the NXT talent competing at Full Sail could come in in that way but with a different ring leader/mouthpiece.

I don't see anything wrong with them mentioning it on the website because Cole also mentioned it during the match (that, I thought, was weird). Nexus won't be coming back though, hardly anything on WWE.com means anything, they just post the articles for the sake of speculation, I don't mind it.

It wouldn't have the same impact as it did before, so wouldn't be much point to it. He's doing fine on his own right now.

Was probably the only time he was at all interesting, still sucky but interesting none the less. Won't happen anyway but I like the fact that it was acknowledged.
