UPDATE

Looks like I was slightly off. If you get pinned in the title match you're out of everything for the time being. @GrammarNazi82

Ahh, gotcha. Glad they explained it better at least. Thanks for letting me know!

These new rules aren't something that I currently support, but I could end up embracing them down the line, depending on how it's all booked. I see some potential in them (as this is a temporary rule from I can gather), but I have some concerns about it too. I'm not the one who judges the book by its covers, but it'll be highly interesting to see how this book of X Division will be written.

Anyway, the next X Division Title match will be Kenny King defending against Zema Ion and a 3rd party.

The 3rd party (or #2 contender) will be (I think) Sonjay Dutt vs. ??? vs. ???. One of these "???"s will be Christian York, imo.

Eh. Depends. It's easy to make this get stale but if they do it right and have good talent for it, it can work.

My thing is these new rules seem like an excuse to not have to write storylines for the X Division, which was already a problem in the past. Besides Aries cashing in with Plan C at Destination X, when was the last real X Division storyline we got? Not a feud as in a series of matches, but a genuine story behind it? Was it Abyss trying to take out the division when Kendrick was champ? Has it been that long?

Now it seems like a three way cruiserweight division designed to put on spot fests and exclude proper feuds.

Agreed. But at least, it will stand out from the rest of the product and will be diferrent than the TV Title.
