I was more looking for the play based reasoning. I saw a few posts before about it but I can't really remember the main points

Also, taking your vote off one scum read and putting it onto another scum read with less votes only makes sense if you vastly prefer the second lynch, but in your own words, that isnt true here?

Okay so this is the main point of contention then? It doesn't sit well with me either, some of that can be chalked up to me thinking the haza push was unsubstantiated and me thinking Brutus is scum.

It's hard to say for sure whether or not it's scum as I've not played with him before, is he one to take the sort of discord stuff as important?

Yeah it's that post you quoted that just seems to blow things out of proportion, as well as one thing Odo pointed out - Mitch changed his vote from Brutus to Haza and then said in his mind they're equally likely to be scum, which, if that is true, it makes little sense to switch votes between them unless you do it to push the wagon to claim territory - which wasn't he case then.
