No...

I just don't like old has-beens hanging around the WWE...
and while Ric Flair is one of (if not the) greatest of all
time...he's has had enough time in the spotlight.

Let Charlotte stand on her own & create her own Legacy.
The problem is he isn't a hasbeen as he get's more of a reaction then most of the current roster. He is just as rellevent. I don't think their should be an expiry date on talent in wrestling. If they can contribute to a good story then tell the story. Not allowing 'hasbeens' to come back is extremley restrictive. A recent example is Edge on this weeks Smackdown.

Okay...well...that's fair if that's your opinion...
but mine is the exact opposite.

I don't want to watch a bunch of old people
stumble around making me feel sad.

Its like Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull...
& the new Star Wars films...

Sure some fans may want to see all these old actors in
the same roles again...but I don't.

I have no love of nostalgia...especially when its old, sad
& can barely move anymore.

I'm about the future...not the past.

Yeah but in a segment with Edge and Becky no one was talking about Edge afterwards. Becky gained from it. Also Edge wasn't stumbling around as he was sitting down on a stool.

Even though wrestling is fictionalised it isn't film. WWE is one world so I don't think you can compare it to Hollywood running out of new ideas in that sense. But yeah you can compare it if the old stars are being used to draw instead of putting over new talent. But it is all about how you use them. If you use them in the right way then no problemo.

Storytelling is pretty shit if you can't address the past. WWE's world building is great, so why not use it?

Okay...one segment got it right...

While so many other do not.

Congratulations WWE...1 out of 1000.

Dude...we can't do this anymore...

Your opinions & standards of what you expect from the WWE are so much different
to mine. Like I read what you type...and I just cringe man...like I kind of think you have
been brainwashed by the WWE to just accept any shit they dish up to you on a weekly
basis.

I think its best if this conversation ends now...because we are just too far apart in what
we think is right & wrong.

There have been bad and good. I don't know why you think this is the one time.

How have I been brainwashed because I want past stars to come back and put over new stars?

We like different stuff therefore we cannot engage in discourse. It's not my fault you cringe at someone who enjoys WWE on a WWE forum.

Yeah...and I want that to...

But all we get is Triple H winning the World title in
in a Royal Rumble...or DX making the Revival look like
idiots...or Kane squashing Finn Balor...or Big Show
sticking his nose in where it doesn't belong...or Goldberg
squashing Kevin Owens in less than 30 seconds...
or Cena & Orton making Rusev look like a moron
on multiple pay per views...or Triple H pinning Jinder
Mahal in India...or the New Day & others getting the
shit kicked out of them by Stone Cold Wife Beater...
or the Rock pinning Erick Rowan in 6 seconds...

Do you want me to keep going Red? because I'm
sure I could.

The NEW talent rarely benefits from the OLD talent
showing up dude.

You have to admit that...because the evidence is right
there in front of you...and don't you dare tell me the
new talent benefits just from being "involved" with the
has-beens...because that is complete & utter horseshit.

Very true...The best matches are those where both performers (or all the performers) walk away from the match still looking capable & competent.

That does happen a lot in NXT...but very rarely does it happen on the main roster.

They seem to have this attitude that for one performer to look good/strong...their opponent has to be completely buried.

I mean...just go back to the Alexa Bliss/Bayley feud...it was embarrassing how poorly Bayley was booked & they may as well have had Alexa use some earth moving equipment to publicly bury her...& I personally believe Bayley will never recover from it.

I think the main issue is in-ring storytelling...and most of the time the women involved with the matches on the main don't have the ability to get a story across.

Some do...Charlotte, Becky, Asuka, Sasha, Bayley, Ruby, Ember...but most just look awkward & out of place in the ring itself.

Plus there is also the possibility that those "behind the scenes" just don't really care about the women's division and still see their matches as filler or a "piss break" spot.

I mean the WWE can publicly push this "Women's Revolution" but if they don't actually believe in it...then it doesn't mean anything.

I think those in charge just believe if the women get more screen & match time it counts as a "revolution" but truthfully...it should be about allowing the women a chance to put on the best matches...which is why I get so pissed off when women like Alexa & Carmella are holding the titles & having AWFUL pay per view matches.

It just makes the women look like a bunch of Divas again...and that's sad.

And I know that feeling.
Exactly, and that is one of my points. If a match makes both performers look great then awesome because it should be that way.

Agreed.

Yup, that is pretty much WWE's motif.

Bayley got buried and then buried some more, and I feel bad for her and fans of her. Also, remember though Bayley is self-made while Alexa is a product of WWE. So WWE will naturally bury self-made as a fuck you, you know what I mean.

I agree, and also the story being told isn't that interesting. WWE tries to make the outside story more interesting than the inside story, which is stupid.

Asuka looks awkward and out of it because her style is different from the American style, and as for the rest they awkward because they wrestle women who shouldn't be wrestlers in the first place.

I have thought the same. WWE is all like yay women and such, but really they don't care at all.

The whole Women's Revolution thing is annoying to me because they are always pushing and shoving it in your face.

Yeah as for your last two statements, I fully agree.

Asuka has never looked "Awkward" to me...

If anything Asuka is the best female in-ring worker in the company...
no matter who she is working with...the match is always crisp with
both parties looking a million bucks.

At least that's how my eyes see it.

It depends on who she wrestling against. When she wrestled against Carmella she looked awkward, but when she wrestled Charlotte she looked fine. I agree Asuka is one of the best work in the ring WWE, too bad she is being wasted though.

Well...she isn't a Miracle Worker...and some women
in the company are beyond even Asuka's abilities.

but when she wrestled Charlotte she looked fine.
They both sure did...especially when they hugged
afterwards...

*Sigh*

Wait...what were we talking about?

Yeah...its that entire "Mic Skills over Ring Skills"
horseshit that seems exist on the main roster.

It just sad...and even sadder that some fans
agree with it.

Poor brainwashed bastards...

You have already called me brainwashed so that's an unnecessary comment
Don't take it personally man...

I think anyone who can honestly say they enjoy &
think the WWE main roster product is "Good" is
brainwashed.

Just remember no one gets a free pass from me...

I respect Ridley Scott as a filmmaker...but Prometheus & Alien: Covenant were awful...
Godzilla is my all time favorite fictional character...but I can admit some of the films are terrible...
I have been listening to the band Machine Head since 1994...but I can't stand their latest album...

And I do like many aspects of the WWE...but I believe most of their main roster product is poorly
written, stale & many talented performers are being wasted & held back for RUMORED stupid reasons.

That is how I see the WWE & their die-hard fans through my own perspective.

Maybe if I was in America & watching RAW & SDL with a group of other fans
every week...perhaps I'd enjoy the main roster more...but in my situation as
an isolated Australian who only watches the parts he wants to (so Becky &
Charlotte & nothing else at the moment) a week later & has no other wrestling
fans around him...well...that's my opinion from my own perspective.

Honestly...I wouldn't really worry too much about my opinions...because I'm so
separate & distant for the main WWE audience...and its possible that my own
opinion is incredibly flawed because of that.
