Also I listened to an interview by the actor who plays Fritz who's name I can't remember rn and it was awesome. He went and trained with Johnny Rodz and his students, listened to a ton of history podcasts and it was really cool hearing him talk about becoming Fritz
Holt McCanny. Only know him from this Netflix show called Mindhunter which was awesome.

Yeah that's it, dude interviewing him was a big mark for that show and some other he was on that I hadn't watched

Man that will be one depressing story. For anyone wanting a deep look into the whole Von Erich story look up the Lapsed Fan's journey on WCCW. What a disturbing tale.

Hey I was just reading through the thread when I moved it out of coming attractions and this is the exact podcast the Fritz actor said he listened to lol it was like 30 hours or something

I just watched this and yeah it’s about as sad as you can expect. It’s a fucking great movie. Of course there’s factual inaccuracies in it but that’s to be expected when you’re trying to cram everything into 2 hours. They hit all the main points so that you get a clear picture of how amazing yet how fucked up this family was. Once the deaths start happening it’s horrible and I was left shaking by the end but again, that’s what’s expected. The truth is the truth. The movie still manages to end on a happy note with Kevin managing to push through it all and raise his own family. Overall this is a must watch for a wrestling fan but even non wrestling fans will enjoy the movie.

Oh and pour one out for Zac Efron because he SHOWED UP both in body and in performance.

As a side note, if anyone gets triggered by death and/or suicide specifically I would use caution when watching this

If you like Ric Flair....you'll hate the actor playing him.

If you hate him....you'll laugh your ass off at how bad it is.

I agree with Deezy on that one point. Idk what the fuck they were doing with Ric Flair in this movie because his portrayal was horrible. It’s like the actor wasn’t even trying. He was so over the top and his voice sounded nothing like Ric’s.

Other than that everything else was good :lol
