Episode 13: Johnny Mundo vs. The Machine (aka Unexpected Guests)
~ So after a quick recap we open with Son of Havoc & the lovely Ivelisse in the ring and
Ivelisse cuts an interesting promo. Like I said sweetie...drop that zero and get with a hero.
Son of Havoc will be taking on the South African motocross racer Angelico.
*Watches Match*
~ And Angelico getting the win with Havoc accidentally colliding with Ivelisse...and she
looks pissed...I hope she's okay.
~ Next is a backstage office segment with Dario Cueto & Johnny Mundo and I'm surprised
Dario wants Johnny around after all the shit that has gone down between them...but...there
is no doubt...the guy can wrestle.
~ It seems tonight main event will be Mundo vs. Cage...but its not like the title of this episode
gave that away already.
~ Hot ring announcer is even hotter in red...Yummy!
~ The next match is Famous B. taking on the Lucha with No Fear Pentagón Jr...
and before the match starts we get a short vignette about Pentagón and again as always
with Lucha Underground its great to watch and provides a lot of character development in
a short amount of time.
~ And holy shit...Pentagon got the win in a short squash match with a submission
hold and a brutal looking shoulder snap. This is what I want to see from Pentagón.
~ We get another one of these "Dario talks to a man unseen" segments and it turns out that
Hot Asian Lady is called "Black Lotus" which is a cool name for her.
~ Next up is Drago vs. Aerostar which I'm sure is going to be a great match up.
~ And after a quick and exciting match...Drago gets the win with a great show of
sportsmanship afterwards. Nice!
~ Next up is a backstage segment where we see Fenix training as he approached by Catrina...
who I must say she is pure sexy appeal in a black dress...damn she is fine! And Fenix gets a
little taste of Catrina...Nice!
~ And now its time for the main event...Johnny Mundo vs. Cage...and I'm curious to see
how this plays out.
~ Cage has established himself as a strong heel in such a short time...its pretty impressive.
~ And my boy King Cuerno is watching the action from a high vantage point...interesting.
~ Mundo & Cage seem to have really good in-ring chemistry...and Cuerno attacks Mundo?!
I didn't see that coming...the match seems to be a DQ victory to Mundo...
but Dario Cueto restarts the match after Mundo's knee has been smashed up by Cuerno...
something doesn't seem right about this.
~ And Cage gets the win...but you have to give an assist to King Cuerno and Dario Cueto.
~ And Holy Shit...its Alberto El Patron...Nice!
Highlights: The entire show was great with Drago & Pentagon getting wins, King Cuerno
taking aim at Johnny Mundo and of course Alberto El Patron showing up at the very end.
Lowlight: No Sexy Star...again!
All in All...another great episode with chrisp writing, sharp matches and a promise of a
bigger and brighter future to come.
Lucha! Lucha! Lucha!
Episode 14: Open Mic Night (As long as Roman Reigns doesn't get a turn)
Okay...so the last episode ended with Alberto El Patron just showing up...which was pretty
cool...let's see if he elevates the show to even greater heights.
~ We open with a Dario/Alberto segment...with Alberto askig for some in-ring promo time...
Interesting.
~ Another band is in the temple tonight as we have our opening match of Argenis taking on
one of my favorites Fenix...who reminds me of Kalisto...only bigger...and better...and probably
a better promo as well.
~ Fenix has a pretty sweet pink outfit on tonight...and Argenis is all i white...both guys look cool.
~ Oh...and look who is coming down to the ring...the incredibly sexy Catrina...who I believe has
her beautiful eyes on Fenix...well...they did kiss last week...Fenix is one lucky guy.
~ And Fenix gets the win with a "Package Sit Down Piledriver"
~ And Catrina crawls into the ring and licks the fallen Argenis...and Fenix wisely gets out of there.
~ We now get a very creepy backstage segment with Catrina & Mil Muertes with Mil lifting Catrina
up off the ground by the throat...and while this scene makes me
nervous...because its shot and edited like a movie...I know Catrina was never in any real danger.
Mil then attacks Chavo setting up a match next week.
~ We now get a very good cool segment with Big Ryck in a Church confessional...and all I have to
say is Ryck's acting is better than his wrestling skills.
~ The band continues to "rock" the temple as we get our next match which is the desperate for a
win Son of Havoc (with the yummy Ivelisse) taking on Johnny Mundo. This will be interesting...and
I'm hoping my boy King Cuerno makes an appearance.
~ Ivelisse is playing the role of Maryse from the outside getting involved when and where she can...
and good for her...Havoc needs a win bad.
~ And Mundo (with a bung knee) gets the win because Havoc was just too damn slow to take
advantage of the opportunities that presented themselves. I'm going to call him Jobber of Havoc
from now on.
~ And Cuerno Attacks!!! Yes! Seriously this guy is awesome...And he hits Mundo with the Thrill
of the Hunt...Nice. I'm very much looking forward to the Cuerno/Mundo match.
~ The temple band continues to rock out...and now we get Ricky Mandel taking on Pentagón Jr...
and I'm thinking this is going to be another short squash match to push Pentagón...
*Watches Match*
~ And Ricky Mandel taps but Pentagón Jr. performs that wicked arm snap move again...and he's
calling to a "Master" but I have no idea who he's talking about.
~ And now Alberto El Patron makes his entrance and the temple is going crazy!!!
It appears that Alberto has the AAA Title with him...which is interesting...I have no idea what AAA
is...but it gets plenty of mentions around here.
~ Alberto is now cutting a promo...and he seems pretty happy to be here.
~ And some guy named Texano shows up and beats Alberto down...and that's the end of the show.
Highlights: Alberto El Patron, Fenix, King Cuerno and the wrath of Pentagón Jr...
Lowlight: No Sexy Star...this is the 3rd episode in a row...WTF?!
All in All...another solid episode with the appearance of Alberto El Patron giving the show some
real star power. Some solid stories are being told and I'm very curious about what comes next for
several of the characters.
Alberto! Alberto! Alberto!
Episode 15: Eye For An Eye (is a great Soulfly song)
~ We open with Mil Muertes (Without the lovely Catrina) taking on Chavo Guerrero.
~ The fans clearly want Catrina...can't say I blame them.
~ I'm really hoping that Mil destroys Chavo...mainly because he hit Sexy with a chair.
*Watches Match*
~ And Catrina shows up much to the joy of the fans.
~ So...Catrina distracts Mil with "that rock" Chavo uses a chair and gets DQ'd...
and Mil gives him the End of Days on the chair...now Catrina is attempting to leave...but Mil has
her by the hair...Oh dear...and now he has her by the throat...somebody do something please...
I don't want to see this...and Fenix to the rescue...can't say I blame him...Catrina is hot!
~ And the Fenix & Catrina swap spit right in front of Mil...Damn!
~ A backstage segment is up next with Black Lotus exploring some dark places.
~ We now have a segment with Dario Cueto & the Crew...and the Crew has matching singlets now...
great...they look like a basketball team...lol
~ And it turns out we are having a No DQ 6 man tag match as the main event with the Crew taking on
Pimpinela Escarlata, Mascarita Sagrada & my Mexican Bae Sexy Star...Oh Dear...I have a bad feeling
about this.
~ We now head back to the ring where Jobber of Havoc is in the ring with the beautiful bitch Ivelisse...
and Ivelisse cuts off his balls in front of everyone...lol.
~ And it turns out we are getting Ivelisse vs. Angelico now...seeing as Jobber of Havoc is well...a jobber...lol
~ Damn...Ivelisse is looking really good tonight...those gold pants are making her bottom half look even better.
~ Now this match has an interesting vibe to it...Angelico doesn't seem to want to fight a lady...but Ivelisse
is clearly trying to kick his ass.
~ And thanks to Jobber of Havoc...Ivelisse gets the win!
~ And clearly Angelico wants a piece of Ivelisse...and I can't say I blame him...she is hot and clearly can fight.
~ Our next match is Super Fly taking on Texano...and we get a sit down interview with Texano conducted
by Vampiro...and this good because I had no idea who this guy was.
~ And Texano gets the win in a very short squash match...and out comes Alberto El Patron for some
payback and the crowd loves it.
~ We now get a backstage office segment with Dario & Cage and Cage is very easy to hate. We also
see Chavo is taking his ball and going home...which is no big loss really...lol
~ We now cut to Black Lotus and she finds someone in a cell...and then she gets black bagged...Jesus...
that was intense.
~ Its time for the main event...and I'm kind of concerned about this one...its the Crew vs. Pimpinela Escarlata,
Mascarita Sagrada and...Look look...its Sexy Star!
*Sigh*
Damn she looks good tonight...A Mexican Pink & Black attack!
~ And the match starts off as a giant clusterfuck with Pimpinela getting choked out, Mascarita getting an
apron powerbomb and Sexy Star getting double teamed on the outside. This is bullshit!
~ Sexy is back in the ring...but she's getting triple teamed...and now Mascarita gets curb stomped onto a
chair...Holy shit!
~ So Pimpinela & Mascarita have been taken out...leaving it a 3 on 1 No DQ match...and I'm struggling to
watch this...
~ And Sexy is fighting back with everything she has...but the simple numbers game catches up with her...
and Thank God Big Ryck is here! (And I never thought I'd ever say/type that)
~ And Thanks to the distraction Sexy gets the pin and the win! Yay!
Highlights: Catrina looking hot, Sexy Star & Ivelisse scoring victories!
Lowlight: The main event was hard to watch for the most part...
All in All...a solid episode which really showed off the ladies of Lucha Underground and developed several
ongoing stories in a positive way.
Sexy! Sexy! Sexy!
Episode 16: Caged Animals (Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage!)
~ We open with a recap of the most of the ongoing feuds/story lines...followed by
a creepy scene of Black Lotus in the truck of a car. Intense start...
~ Hot ring announcer is fucking hot!
~ And our first match is a rematch between Aerostar vs. Drago and I'm sure this going to be a great watch...
*Watches Match*
~ And Aerostar gets the win in another great match...and another show of respect between Aerostar & Drago...
but here comes Dario Cueto to make it a best out of 5 series with the winning being "rewarded" I know...the it
will finish 2 a piece with the 5th match ending in a draw so Dario will make them into a tag team!
~ We now we get a slow motion King Cuerno vignette which was great...and it turns out Cuerno vs. Mundo is
happening tonight! Hell Yeah!
~ The next match is Cage taking on the most talented performer here in the Underground Prince Puma...and
I'm sure this is going to be good.
*Watches Match*
~ Having someone like Cage in Lucha Underground does allow for a "clash of styles" and helps to keep the
in-ring action fresh.
~ Holy Shit! Puma just performed a springboard Shooting Star Press to the outside...that was incredible!!!
And the crowd goes wild!
~ Konnan is back...and he throws in the towel for Puma?! WTF?! The plot thickens...
~ We now get quick backstage segment with Konnan & Puma before moving to the office set for a scene
between Dario...and Look look...its Sexy Star!
*Sigh*
God I want her...I know she's married...but still...she's amazing!
This is the first time Sexy has had a scene/segment like this...I honestly thought it would happen sooner.
And Sexy wants the Crew...so Dario puts her in a fight next week with Big Ryck...Oh Jesus No...and the
winner gets to fight the Crew...are you serious? Look Sexy...I know your tough...but this might be taking it
too far. That's like winning a worm eating contest only for your prize to be swimming in a pool full pf used
needles. Come on Sexy...use that beautiful brain of yours.
~ Pink ring announcer is pink!
~ Next we have...Vinny Massaro...who the fuck is this guy? I think I saw this guy in the Job Squad back in
the day...lol...and he's taking on Pentagón Jr.
G...I wonder how this fight is going to end...
*Watches Match*
And the Jobber gets Jobbed in like 2 minutes...and now Pentagón puts him through a table and then
performs the "Shoulder Snapper" on him...Bye Bye Vinny.
~ And now the Main Event as my boy King Cuerno takes on Johnny Mundo...I am keen for this one! I'm
gunning for Cuerno to win.
*Watches Match*
~ And the fight ends with a double count out as the two continue to brawl all over the temple.
~ And we end the show with some unknown Luchador grabbing Black Lotus from out the trunk of the car
shown earlier. Talk about a stinger.
Highlights: That Shooting Star Press, The Sexy Star segment, King Cuerno looking sharp against Mundo
and the continued violence of Pentagón Jr...
Lowlight: The double count out...I would have rather seen a true victor in such a great match.
All in All...another great episode with all storylines moving forward and a mystery growing in the shadows unseen.
Lucha! Lucha! Lucha!
