Did a quick run by with Fuji and he instantly seemed to think it was a good idea, so it's here, it's queer, but don't get used to it, because it will probably take 3 weeks at most.
The idea is a 64-man tournament consisting of stars of WCW past, as chosen by you, the members of Pulse, leading up to a big finale deciding who we, the members of Pulse, think is the greatest WCW superstar, ever in the company's history.
Before you think you know who'll win... not so fast... these tournaments take some whacky turns sometimes and I've seen a few shockers in similar tournaments. I hope you'll all compete.
The rules for nominating superstars are as follows:
- Voting will stay open until next Friday, roughly five days from now
- Each day you are allowed a maximum of 32 nominations, with a minimum of 10
- All your nominations must be added in ONE post. Do not post three times a day with 5 or 6 nominations in each post. Nominate everyone you want to nominate that day in ONE post
- The 64 superstars who recieve the most nominations will be added to the tournament
- Think outside the box with nominations. Even if someone has no chance of winning, nominate them anyways.. we need diversification.
- The match-ups in the tournament will be randomly generated. There are no biases, and I can't promise we won't see something where it's Sting vs. Goldberg in the first round, while Robert Gibson vs. Norman Smiley is also in the first round. It all comes down to luck of the draw.
The tournament itself will be as such:
First round - 16 fatal fourways
Quarterfinal round - 4 fatal fourways
Semifinal round - 2 single's matches
Final round - 1 single match to determine winner
The reason the fatal fourways are happening is simply to make the process faster. I want the tournament to be fun, and not drag out. Plus I know Porkchop Express has a tournament of his own over the in the movie forums, so I don't want the two overlapping TOO much.
Post your nominations right below and we'll get to it.
