Oh shit we're allowed to think the rioters are wrong and the cops were murderers? The news and people at work told me I had to pick a side

You don't gotta pick no side. You can just sit back and watch everyone else rant and rave, while they look stupid. I guess I am part of the problem since I don't usually give this much thought.

TBH, I'd say the people who are coming to riot and steal, if I were governer Walz, I'd say shoot on sight. They're worthless scumbags who are no better than the police so might as well see the fireworks go down between police and rioters. :swamps

I heard on the TimCast, that a pawn shop owner did shoot and kill someone who tried to rob his store with a chainsaw.

He did the right thing by killing the thief, but then again the media's gonna twist the story into something completely false.

I always find it strange how the race topic always seems to explode every now and then. You don’t hear shit about it for a while, and then the news suddenly has one story after the other and all hell breaks loose. I have now seen 3 different stories of police choking people. You can’t tell me this is all of a sudden a thing in the last few days.....

The bigger problem is the timing of this because the country is a powder keg right now. Due to a lot of people being brainwashed by their respective political parties, anger has already been past the breaking point for a few years. The only thing that was keeping everything in order was the notion that people had something to lose. This pandemic and current economic situation has changed that for a lot of people so sadly, this is only the beginning.

Adding to these underlying issues, we have 30-40 million people unemployed. We have people who have been cooped up in their houses for a few months and many of them are in a VERY bad mood and they are just itching to act out. We have a Federal government which is asleep at the wheel and has proven in the past few months that it is either incapable or unwilling to take care of its citizens most basic needs. This is all a recipe for disaster. These riots would have been inevitable, it just needed a spark. The Floyd incident happened and we're off to the races.

Its ironic that CNN had some windows busted out and such last night in Atlanta. Considering that they're one of the main news sources that have been pushing this in recent years. I was called twice last night by my civilian employer to come into work even though I'm all the way out in Texas right now. I won't post anything publicly but this is really hitting home right now. The shit people are posting on Facebook is ridiculous and I have even called a few of them about the shit telling them what I thought of the nonsense they were saying. I used to say that the ignorance of people doesn't shock me, but today I can't say that.
