The bigger problem is the timing of this because the country is a powder keg right now. Due to a lot of people being brainwashed by their respective political parties, anger has already been past the breaking point for a few years. The only thing that was keeping everything in order was the notion that people had something to lose. This pandemic and current economic situation has changed that for a lot of people so sadly, this is only the beginning.
Adding to these underlying issues, we have 30-40 million people unemployed. We have people who have been cooped up in their houses for a few months and many of them are in a VERY bad mood and they are just itching to act out. We have a Federal government which is asleep at the wheel and has proven in the past few months that it is either incapable or unwilling to take care of its citizens most basic needs. This is all a recipe for disaster. These riots would have been inevitable, it just needed a spark. The Floyd incident happened and we're off to the races.
