I love the idea for this match... But since I have to be critical over everything, the timing is awful since there's one possible winner. If it isn't Asuka, it's stupid. Yeah sure, losing in a Royal Rumble isn't a "loss" but bringing in the Empress so strong just to eliminate her seems really bad. (Yes there are ways around that, like her roundhousing the shit out of Eva Marie who hides outside the ring, dominating the match and having her get dumped out from behind by Eva to a crowd of boos that turn to cheers when they realize Carmella isn't eliminated either... But what do you think this is, NXT?), but this is either so predictable it falls flat or they do something else in a stupid swerve for a sake of a swerve and...

So take Asuka out of the match and... let's freaking go! I love the idea. Unlike the real Royal Rumble it feels like there's a BIG pool of possibilities and cool ways to go here. Absolution/Riott Squad war sounds cool, Charlotte/Sasha confrontations, Bayley trying to work together with Carmella and getting turned on because lolbayley, etc. But as you say it feels like it has to be a Smackdown winner so... Yeah I think this is a bad move. She doesn't need to be in the first one. Let the others have it and keep her looking strong.

I agree 110%...

Asuka should win the RAW title before the Rumble & Alexa can have her spot...
and I agree...Becky should win the Rumble itself (after drawing #1).

Asuka vs. Ronda Rousey (Or Sasha if Ronda still isn't on board) for the RAW title...
(with a possible streak breaking heel turn for Sasha at Wrestlemania)
&
Charlotte vs. Becky for the SmackDown title...

As far as the rest of the division at Wrestlemania...well...a Battle Royale?
A RAW vs. SmackDown tag match?

I just want the women's Wrestlemania title matches to be 2 singles matches...

Unless we get my dream match of Asuka vs. Charlotte vs. Ronda...that would
be the biggest "marquee" match they could book.

Have to disagree about the Asuka thing. She can be ganged up on by plenty of other women who cooperate to get her out of the match. Not only that, but Asuka hasn't been so dominate in the actual fighting of the matches that no one has been unable to get the upper hand on her for a portion of the match. And in actuality, Nia Jax dominated Asuka when Asuka defended the NXT title against her. Plus there are the options of having someone brought into the WWE to start something with Asuka by eliminating her.

To me, I am more interested in thinking about whether or not they will pull something off to eliminate her without slowing her momentum in any way. If she wins, so be it. But I do not see it as a sure thing by any means.
