For sure. Too many bands out there that make no effort to actually nail something down in the studio, just edit it until it sounds alright

Most bands sound the same, and they're all pretty much trying to rip off Meshuggah

There was like a "thrash revival" phase and also an "new wave of old school death metal" phase as well, some good bands , but also a lot of copycats. It happens even with underground stuff.

A lot of deathcore sounds the same to me as well, but might be me being a pseudo-old man lol
