I saw the first Avatar once back when it was in theaters, but I’ve had no desire to revisit it. I’ve not felt the need to see the new one, but I might cave once it hits a streaming service.

I've never seen either Avatar or Titanic...it's a James Cameron thing...it's not, but the fucking boat sinks...who cares??

Booty’s opinion of Wakanda Forever is fucking ass backwards imo but to each their own.

I will say Everything Everywhere winning all the awards was quite the upset. EVERYONE thought Angela Bassett was winning supporting actress and Cate Blanchett was winning best actress. I thought Banshees had a pretty good chance of best picture too. It’s cool though cause I enjoy upsets. I can’t believe I still haven’t seen this fucking movie cause I’ve seen most of the others

Actually, Bassett’s campaign died about a month ago when JLC started picking up real steam and Blanchett was literally never considered a favourite. Most experts had her ranked below both Yeoh and Riseborough for the past two months.

Basically everyone that’s in the know had EEAAO winning a shit ton of stuff as far back as early January, so I fail to see how it was an upset. If anything, these were the most predictable Oscars in quite some time.

Big shout out to An Irish Goodbye for winning Best Live Action Short. I loved, loved, loved that movie.

Just to chime in on Avatar: The Way of Water for a moment. I wasn’t a big fan of the original, as we know, but I bit the bullet and saw the sequel back in December. It was a massive improvement over the original even if it was still way too long. However, what’s most important is how BIG it felt. It was an event movie that I could never imagine watching on the small screen. Love him or hate him (and I’ve been on both sides of the coin) that is what James Cameron brings to the table every time.

Not trash but highly overrated and one that I don’t have the urge to rewatch it’s like Thor 1 & Captain Marvel level in my ranking

since the theaters opened back up though my buddy and I try to see every MCU movie opening week

Damn it's probably one of the only solo hero movies I've had any desire to rewatch since like Winter Soldier lol overrated maybe I agree with bc so many people said it was the best ever, but so many also said it was the worst thing they ever saw so I'm passed caring about that for the movies where people need to pick a side
