Match: Tag team title match- Roderick Strong and Jack Evans vs Super Dragon and Davey Richards (c)
Promotion: PWG
Rating: 4.5/5
Comment: This was a awesome match that started with some chain wrestling from Richards and Strong. Super Dragon does some great heel work in this match. For example he pretends to be Evans and crawls to his corner mocking him as Evans had taking a beating and was trying to tag in Roddy.

Dragon and Richards dominate the match for a good while then it explodes and there is a excellent spot where Strong places Richards facedown in the middle rung of the turnbuckle and then places Dragon on top of him and at first i thought strong was going to powerbomb his own partner Evans into them as he had him in that position but he does some spinning stomp thing. Top stuff.

Match: Resistance Pro title match. "The Ego" Robert Anthony (c) vs Jocepheus Brodie.
Promotion: Resistance Pro
Rating: 3.9
Comment: This was a match I enjoyed. I am fairly new to R-pro but it is a promotion I am enjoying. Ego was working as the babyface in this match despite his arrogant tendencies, and he is over with the R-Pro crowd without a doubt. Jocepheus was working the monster powerhouse style whilst Ego is a smaller guy with a highflying arsenal. Jocepheus spent the match trying to overpower Anthony, breaking him as he said pre-match, and Anthony spent the match surviving and having babyface comebacks. Both guys worked their roles well. At first the ending left me scratching my head but the post match commentary cleared it all up and it was used to advance a feud between the two.
I enjoyed this.

Match: Resistance Pro tag title match, LockUp (Sug D & Epic) (c) vs Braden Pierce and Bad man Pondo. Pondo rules.
Promotion: Resistance Pro
Rating: 3
Comment: This was an okay watch. Nothing amazing but okay. LockUp is a cool team since it is two guys I have seen before, Sug D being Sugar Dunkerton of Chikara fame and Epic being Aaron Epic, doing something different. It is cool seeing two guys being allowed to go away from their typical formula, granted there are still some comedy with Sugar but much more toned down. Pierce looks like he could be something and Pondo is the head trainer at the Insane Clown Possé's school (yes, this exists). The match was under Pondo rules (extreme rules) and featured two staple gun spots and both teams trying to suplex the other through packing crates. The match itself wasn't the best but character work carried it. The right team one and seeds of future meltdown were seemingly planted in the other.

Match: No limits title match-Crash Test Cody vs Jack Manley(c)
Promotion: Future Stars Wrestling
Rating: 3/5
Comment: This was a decent match for the time they had. Some chain wrestling at the start, Cody was built as the underdog in the match. They showed some glimpses of decent chemistry here.

Match: R-Pro title match, Robert Anthony (c) vs Bobby Lashley
Promotion: Resistance Pro
Rating: 3.9
Comment: This was another solid one out of Resistance Pro. This started out with Anthony being the more heelish but Lashley also had his "I've been in the WWE" arrogance going. Then into the match the roles slowly changed with Lashley being more the heel than Anthony. The match started with both guys trying to show that they are superior to the other and as it went on and the heel shift occurred Lashley started dominating Anthony. Anthony did really good comebacks. The ending was the next number 1 contender coming out to taunt Lashley which gave Anthony enough time to get back to his feet and finish the match. Showing that even though Anthony is a face now he is an opportunist (without using heel tactics like low blows). Good match.

Match: R-Pro title match. Robert Anthony vs Bobby Lashley vs Jay Bradley
Promotion: Resistance Pro
Rating: 3.9
Comment: This was a fun 3 way dance to fill the vacant championship spot. It started out with Bradley and Anthony teaming up on Lashley since he was the bigger man but Lashley powered out of it. Lashley got eliminated pretty early into the match which seemed odd. But then Bradley and Anthony stepped it up and put in work. Both men having been dark horses in R-pro from the start while Harry Smith ran with the belt so both deserves this. And both put in work here. Anthony picks up the win and the crowd in Wisconsin enjoyed it. And I enjoyed it. High quality match.

Match: Robert Anthony vs John Hennigan
Promotion: Resistance Pro
Rating: 4
Comment: Best match yet from Resistance Pro that I have seen. Ego and Morrison mesh really well together and had a long and fun match. Very athletic and it told the story of Ego not wanting another man in "the house that Ego built". Really enjoyed this one.

Comment: This was quite a intense match lots of vicious strikes from both women. Some nice mat wresting on display here. Quite a back and forth match.

Match: Prince Devitt vs Naomichi Marafuji. Super J cup 2009 finals.
Promotion: New Japan
Rating: 4.5
Comment: It's Devitt vs Marafuji, how is this going to be bad? Devitt was just gaining momentum in Japan around this time as a top junior and thus got all the way to the finals in that years super juniors cup. And Marafuji when not injured is really, really good. Both these guys are great flyers and juniors, working well together and knowing how to pace a juniors match. So so close to a 5.

Match: IWGP Jr heavyweight title. Prince Devitt (c) vs Kouta Ibushi
Promotion: New Japan
Rating: 5
Comment: This was a fun junior match. The title was on the line. Devitt is awesome and Ibushi is fucking Ibushi. Need I say more? Great structure, great work from both men.

Match: Mitsuharu Misawa vs Jun Akiyama
Promotion: AJPW
Rating: 4.5
Comment: This was was a great battle from 2000 that saw both men exchange brutal strikes, early on in the match Akiyama gives Misawa a exploder on the apron. Middle part was kind of slow but the finish was epic and more then made up for it.

Match: Naruki Doi and Ricochet(c) vs K-Ness and Dragon kid
Promotion: Dragons Gate
Rating: 3.75
Comment: This was a pretty good tag match, never quite reached spectacular level but it was fast paced and had some great counters and both teams worked well together and there was some nice double team moves on show.

Match: Youngbucks vs Baltic Siege (Latvian Proud Oak and Estonian Thunderfrog) Tag World Grand prix 2013 stage 1.
Promotion: Chikara
Rating: 3.5
Comment: The Youngbucks are always a hoot. But I feel like the Baltic Siege is something that will have to grow on me. The seemingly slow and "wooden" style of Oad really didn't mesh well with the Bucks. Some nice comedy in this match though. Enjoyable match, but you know the bucks can do better.

Match: Spectral Envoy vs Colony: Xtreme force. Tag world grand prix 2013 stage 1.
Promotion: chikara
Rating: 3
Comment: Again a match from the tag world grand prix, this time featuring the feuding teams of the envoy and the Xtreme force. This match played on the lucha concept flowing through chikara, with Xtreme force trying to remove the masks of the envoy, Frightmare in particular. Some nice high flying in this match, nothing to complain about but nothing breathtaking.

Match: 30 minute iron man match-Bryan Danielson vs Doug Williams
Promotion: ROH
Rating: 4
Comment: This was a excellent display of pure wrestling from the two men. Nice unique submissions and some great counters. This was not a overblown ironman match which can be the case most of the time with this match gimmick. What we got instead was some very nice exchanges between two top workers.

Sorry for missing Monday. Got a case of the stomach flu and was knocked out.

Anyways...
Match: Shane Hollister & Caleb Konley vs The Beaver Boys (Alex Reynolds & Jon Silver)
Promotion: CZW
Rating: 3.5
Comments: I am warming up to modern CZW, at least the non deathmatch matches. Because there are some solid talents in that promotion. Konley is one of my indy favorites and I see big things for him if all goes well. The Beaver boys are a hoot as well. A lot of people are saying great things about Hollister but from what I have seen of him I don't see it. He seems sluggish, slow and off in his offense a lot and in this match he lost steam after a bit. The highlight of this match was definitely Silver, who is just hilarious to watch. He's shorter than Austin Aries but wrestles like he's Brock fucking Lesnar, which shouldn't work but somehow does. Watching a tiny man throw bigger men around is pretty lulz. Add Konley and Reynolds putting in solid work and you have yourselves a decent match with the right team going over and in my opinion the right guy eating the pin.

Match: Johnny Gargano vs Rich Swann
Promotion: DGUSA
Rating: 3.7
Comments: A solid match up by these two, Gargano is one of my indy favs and Swann is solid as fuck. This match is the main event from DGUSA's Bushido 2013 event and is a non title match. The backstory is based in Johnny and Swann being part of the same faction before Johnny's turn and he attacked Swann as part of it, and now Swann is back for revenge. This match starts with some nice chain wrestling and goes into a high tempo match up with elements of a brawl. Towards the end Johnny's arrogant side starts showing up some more and he starts ridiculing Swann which amps the match up some more. Heelish finish to the match to sell Gargano's turn further. If you have followed DGUSA for a while this match comes with the added benefit of seeing two guys who came into the company as green horns (in wrestling over all) having grown into main eventers. Solid bout but boy do DGUSA need a second commentator.
