Jericho Speaks
Chris Jericho was interviewed Sunday night on Live Audio Wrestling, here are the highlights:
- Y2J talked about doing improv comedy.
- Jericho said he has heard the rumor about him returning to Raw in September. Y2J said he seems to be the last to know.
- Jericho plugged his upcoming book, which he started working on in August 2005. He said he was surprised how much actual work goes into writing a book.
- He said every word in the book was written by Y2J. Jericho said the book is almost done, and all the pictures have been selected.
- Y2J said the book comes on this fall.
- Jericho said he had a journalism degree prior to entering the pro wrestling business.
- Jericho said he was really burnt out when he left WWE, but thanks to his extended leave of absence, could envision a return to wrestling someday.
- He said he was fortunate to have worked fifteen straight years in pro wrestling, making a good salary and being able to avoid major injuries.
- Jericho said he never subscribed to the notion that you had to have a big body go get you over, when asked about steroids.
- He was surprised that the guys mentioned in the Sports Illustrated article left a paper trail.
- Y2J wonders if anyone really cares about the steroid story?
- Jericho mentioned that HBK isn’t big, and no one cares that he’s not huge. Y2J pointed out that Bruce Lee was tough in his day, and he wasn’t “big.â€
- Y2J has no regrets doing the “Celebrity Duets,†as he considers himself a music historian. He said it was fun to hang out with all the musical celebrities, and had a great time, including rocking with Little Richard.
- Jericho talked about touring with Fozzy, including a recent tour of UK, their fifth tour of the United Kingdom . He said the band goes through cycles, including working on a new record.
