Its some guy's take on how the Cornellverse could progress 2 years after the 2016 database. Was made before 2020 so it doesn't take into account the current version of the cornellverse.

I find it to make a ton of promotions incredibly fun to play.

Yeah its amazing. Lots of cool things to try out in this version.

I know of the 97 one and had a quick read through it but I haven't done an actual save yet.

@CHRISTOPHER I've just been fiddling with that 2018 Cornellverse again and remembered how ZEN had progressed.

Given you played and enjoyed them in the 2020 DB I think you'd find their 2018 state super interesting - they got some investment and essentially created a small global network; now there are like 6 different versions of ZEN in different regions, each of which have a Halloween Knight and a Pumpkin Jack.



I'm also really getting into the idea of playing a 21CW save - they've got a civil war type storyline going where they're split into European elitists, British elitists, Europeans who want everyone to get along, and British who want everyone to get along. It's premised on 21CW expanding into Europe and different groups having different views on the move. The European elitists want to take over 21CW, the British Elitists want to kick the Europeans out of 21CW and keep it British, and the other two groups are both happy about working together to make 21CW bigger.

The company's in the process of expanding into the US too which potentially brings some fun new twists and turns.

That ZEN sounds amazing when I was running them I saved up to afford the cheapest streaming service you could to broadcast my events in bc there was no broadcasters and even later when WrestleWorld Australia came out it would have broke me to meet the broadcast requirements lol (pretty sure DIW was hemorrhaging money bc of it last I saw in the save)

So I did this thing. UPWF has 30 in popularity in the Midwest and 25 in the Great Lakes region. It's a tiny company but with loads of money invested into it, and is already part of the Confederation of the Territories.

I actually imported a lot of workers from the expansion packs that were modded, such as the Women's Revolution, India Expansion, and Yet To Debut packs from the GDS site, so much of my roster are complete unknowns but uber-talented.

So... I went and thought, "What would happen if I just left my new company alone and let it run on autopilot for three years.

Turns out, it would become the 5th biggest company in the world, uber-rich, and uber-talented without any major stars.

Even without major stars or even regular stars, the company still put out massive matches and shows on their top-heavy schedule.

The secret to their massive success was the opening of WrestleWorld for their weekly shows and their own schedule, which consisted of:

UPWF Wrestling Round-Up is their dedicated television show produced by IC-TV and NCTV, Canadian and American broadcasters respectively. The show is just under 1 million viewers weekly, making them the clear #4 US company in terms of ratings, and surprisingly #5 overall. USPW, TCW, SWF, and EILL currently do better ratings than UPWF. Canadian Wrestling Alliance doesn't even do as well as UPWF.

On WrestleWorld all of their events are aired frequently, and their shows also peak at 15k in attendance. They have three shows a week, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Their big event is UPWF Uproar, currently in its 36th edition.

So long story short, I think I made a broken company. It was losing money for its first few months but when WrestleWorld opened up in March 2020, UPWF capitalized and started raking in money en masse, and then with an uber-talented roster, just put up awesome ratings night after night.

Yeah, to my surprise only two companies have died while I ran this sim:

FCW and CWW. Meanwhile, SWF fell to medium for a short time but picked right back up, USPW has hundreds of millions of dollars, and TCW is somehow keeping its talents despite the narrative that it's a slowly dying company. Even PGHW isn't dying when for all intents and purposes, it should be.

I think the reason UPWF didn't immediately tank is that, again, a top-heavy schedule boosted its ratings ten-fold by year's end, and because I had a fuck-ton of expansion and unknown workers.

That sounds about like what happened in mine (I'm a little over two years in). FCW died towards the end of 2021. CWW just upgraded production values stupidly and were losing money like crazy so I imagine they'll follow soon.

As I'm looking at everyone's financials I predict within the next few years if I sim further:

5SSW will go red in 25 months' time if things stay the same for them. I am predicting the AI will change nothing and they'll be bankrupt or bought out by another company in 3 years' time.

ACPW will hit rock bottom in six months unless they start drawing crowds soon. They'll be bankrupt by 2024.

Canadian Women's Wrestling Federation continues to lose money at a slow drain, and with only 28k left in the bank, it's not looking good. They have 68 months at the pace they're going before they go red, so certainly they'll probably bounce back and start making money soon.

CZCW is 300k in the hole. They'll be bankrupt in 6 months' time. Unless they somehow can cough up 300k in two months.

Deep Impact Wrestling is 50k in the hole and has been losing money every month for the last year. They'll be bankrupt by the end of the year.

Exodus2010 lost money in the last three months, but not really enough to put a dent in their financials, they have 3 million dollars and have only lost at most 75k. They'll bounce back.

Lethal Ring is losing money because a Hawaiian promotion is a bad idea. They'll be bankrupt in two years' time.

London SS, a UK Joshi Strong Style company, lost 20k in its first month, which was December. They have over 1.2 million in the bank, so chances are they'll be able to take the losses for now. I think they'll eventually find a good broadcasting deal and become a good wrestling company to look out for.

SNP continues to lose money over the last year but somehow has 5 million in the bank? They're not dying anytime soon unless somehow Mark Carnie fucks up everything.

VWA is such a weird company that I can't gauge whether they'll go bankrupt in three years' time or not. They lose money every few months, but it's like barely anything. Then other months they barely break even and just continue to live on. I'm predicting VWA dies in five years' time though.

Youth Energy Pro Wrestling is in the red and probably gonna die. They'll be bankrupt by the end of the year.

Does it seem to you like most of them are losing money mostly bc they upped production to be on the new streaming services? That was the trend I felt like I was starting to see in my game, seems way too simple of a fuck up for the AI to do though

From what I've been looking at, it's a combination of production ratings and signing too popular of workers while not drawing enough crowds. Which is sad tbh.
