TEW/EWR Discussion Thread

Just realized that basically 75% of my roster are cool with doing deathmatches but literally 1 is a decent star and all my others refuse lol they are smart

For no reason whatsoever the other Scottish promotion, SNP, and their scumbag owner declared war on me I use a lot of the talent they use but so far they are still working both companies so I think it might be grandfathered in where you can't sign the same people. This gonna be a bitch bc the market is thin but thankfully he gets in disagreements with workers all the time and they leave so I could still maintain a small enough roster to survive. They're loaded so I can't match any money battles tho

Since I'm going to be bare bones for awhile I'm enjoying slow simming to see how the game world is going, the wrestling industry seems to be thriving mostly.

USPW, SWF, and TCW are all growing and putting on good shows, SWF is becoming fully international and TCW has fully recovered from the Wolf Hawkins scandal (he's still unemployed) and have made a sizable dent in Canada. The American indie scene is also great at the moment with a ton of companies thriving with a show on wrestleworld and pretty deep talent for variety.

The rest of the world is pretty strong with all the big companies putting on great shows, especially EMLL in Mexico, they win all the awards. None really branching out of their home region much, EMLL just a bit in America. Japan is still a little weak from the tsunami nerf, but most companies have slowly been growing since the game started, its just slow. USPW has more popular stars in Japan than BHOTWG for instance, but not many

I hate the period just after growing a size in TEW. Your shows suddenly go from "awesome" to "decent" even when you're still steadily getting better, and your matches pivot from "exceptional" to "poor"

I try and cap my size at whatever I'm at currently until i think I'm ready to move up myself, it doesn't always make a difference but sometimes I have the pop to grow in size but not enough money/talent/etc to support the other requirements.

Worst was when i was booking a developmental company in the cverse and grew in pop crazy fast bc I put a weekly TV show on the parent company's global broadcaster...but then I couldn't sustain the minimum feuds and heat i needed so all my shows got lower ratings bc of those penalties so once I lost pop to drop back to small I made sure to cap that

So, first test run of CYN, made them Tiny sized company, gave them $150k in funds, and put them on a constant schedule as a test to see how much money they'd blow through with their talent. Yeah, I added a bunch of big-name problematic talent, Drake Younger as ref, Tessa Blanchard, etc. etc. etc.

The worst part about this was seeing MAURO RANALLO and fucking Big Cass get hired by the company.

I'm going to have to fix that almost immediately though tbh.

SWF just hired the most popular 21CW wrestler from the UK as they keep expanding globally. 21CW has plenty of other stars so shouldn't be much of a loss actually. SWF still nowhere near catching USPW from a business standpoint but consistently have better shows and make better hirings.

So I started a new Cverse save where I'm not involved at all and just simming but keeping up with the news and results each day. Will post if anything crazy happens, mostly interested in how ZEN does without my involvement, expect it to mostly play out like my other save outside of that but we'll see

I remember signing him as The Crippler in one of my cult saves and he basically became my icon back in TEW 2016.

I think the most success I've ever had in a TEW game was a custom company in 1985 where this main evented every show and kept getting 97-100s: The Funk Brothers vs. Randy Savage & Bruiser Brody
