The more applicable situation was when WWE LITERALLY had the WCW Title on TV for weeks.

The most that happened to them was a cease and desist order and by the time AEW did this angle they can mail the belt back.

Yeah Flair in 1992 having the WCW World Title and calling himself the Real World's Champion with Heenan was great. WCW on the otherhand had to create a new Title and once Flair and the WCW came back in 93 you had two World Titles creating a bunch of chaos. Flair vs Sting from the Clash of the Champions 1994 was great in my opinion.
