I was gonna say that I was suspicious of Ekko as he accused Ace to be scum way back then, and then jumped at the chance to replace him if that makes any sense. He suspected him to be scum then he was keen to replace him cos he thinks he was scum?

Plus, it might just be me not understanding a lot of the terms used in the game but he seems to talk around in circles a lot like he's trying to confuse everyone.
