You know, TNA could probably have ratings like Smackdown! now since they're live for the time being, but whoever does their advertising and PR really sucks at their job.
The following are the quarter-hour numbers from the June 28 edition of TNA Impact Wrestling:
Q1: 0.89 rating: Dixie Carter and A.J. Styles talk backstage, Mr. Anderson vs. Rob Van Dam in a BFG Series match, Austin Aries entrance.
Q2: 0.87 rating: Aries promo interrupted by Bobby Roode, back and forth between Aries and Roode, Claire talks backstage, Kazarian yells at Daniels.
Q3: 0.80 rating: Sonjay Dutt vs. Rubix, Gut Check recap, footage of Bruce Prichard, Al Snow, and Taz talking, two commercials.
Q4: 0.91 rating: Samoa Joe vs. Bully Ray in a BFG Series match, two commercials.
Q5: 1.07 rating: Joe vs. Ray continuation with Joseph Park, Park promo, Claire and Dixie Carter talk backstage, Kazarian talks with Hulk Hogan.
Q6: 1.00 rating: Madison Rayne talks with Garett Bischoff, Brooke Hogan talks with Miss Tessmacher and Gail Kim, Rashad Cameron vs. Mason Andrews.
Q7: 1.03 rating: Hogan with Jeff Hardy and James Storm backstage, Gut Check judgment with Snow, Taz, Prichard, Jeremy Borash, Taeler Hendrix, and Joey Ryan, A.J. Styles and Kurt Angle talk backstage.
Q8: 1.16 rating: A.J. Styles and Kurt Angle vs. Daniels and Kazarian, post-match angle with Daniels announcing that A.J. Styles is the father of Claire's baby.
This week’s TNA Impact Wrestling rating only scored 0.85 with 1.108 million viewers.
I don't know why they don't just put fucking Xplosion on TV, that way they've got another 1 hour of original programming to use some of the talent who aren't getting on iMPACT and presumably frustrated.
- Last night's episode of Impact Wrestling scored a 0.89 rating with 1.21 million viewers. Those number are down 11% in the ratings and 15.7% in viewership from last week's 1.00 and 1.40 million viewers, and is the lowest viewership during the summer run outside of the July 12th episode, which aired during the DirecTV/Viacom dispute.
The show ranked #43 among cable shows for the night, #22 among males 18 – 34 and #12 among males 18 – 49. It took a hit in younger viewers, down 0.2 in the teen male demographic and 0.1 in the male 12 – 34 and male 18 – 34 demos. Males 18 – 49 and adults 18 – 49 were even with last week. The show's competition was the NFL pre-season and the Olympics.
Q1: Impact opened with a 0.93 rating for a promo involving Austin Aries, Jeff Hardy and Bully Ray in the ring, plus one commercial.
Q2: Impact dipped to a show-low 0.90 rating for Samoa Joe vs. Magnus, Madison Rayne backstage, and one commercial.
Q3: Impact increased to a first-hour-high 0.98 rating for Madison Rayne's Knockouts Title speech, Brooke Hogan's interruption, the TNA roster saving Brooke from the Aces & Eights, Sting's rallying speech, and one-and-a-half commercials.
Q4: Impact decreased to a 0.96 rating for the first-half of AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels and one-and-a-half commercials.
Q5: Impact jumped to a 1.16 rating for the second-half of Styles vs. Daniels, backstage segments, and one commercial.
Q6: Impact decreased to a 1.13 rating for Bobby Roode's "walking away" speech after his title loss to Austin Aries at Hardcore Justice, plus one commercial break.
Q7: Impact increased to a 1.17 rating for Miss Tessmacher vs. Madison Rayne with Taryn Terrell debuting as special referee. This was the first significant movement for a Knockouts segment in several weeks.
Q8: Impact increased to a show-high 1.23 rating for the Bully Ray vs. Jeff Hardy main event, one commercial, and post-match attack on James Storm by the Aces & Eights. This was the highest-rated quarter-hour during the live summer run and highest-rated segment since May 17.
