Two teens are now charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of a college baseball player.

A crime that one teen said they carried out simply because they were bored.

Fifteen-year-old James Edwards and 16-year-old Chancey Luna will be tried as adults on those murder charges.

A third teen Michael Jones is charged with being an accessory to murder and firing a weapon.

Police say the trio shot 23-year-old Christopher Lane a baseball player at East Central University.

He was gunned down while jogging down the street in Duncan, OK.

"It was just so senseless. There wasn't anything he did or could have done. He was an athlete going for a jog like he would do five or six days a week," said Christopher's father Peter Lane.

If convicted of first-degree murder, the suspects could face life in prison.

A lot of people are saying this should be classified as a hate crime because the victim was Australian but more so because he was white. I haven't seen enough to justify that or not, but this is just crazy news that people that young would go out and do this because they're bored. "Yeah, Pornhub's down so lets go shoot a jogger, sound good guys?"

To be fair, I could see something like this happening (and it probably did) 10 or even 20 years ago with bad parenting and the kids living in a bad neighborhood. Society is sinking, but it's a very slow sink, we just hear about it way more nowadays.

It is big news over here. Senseless crime and disgusting that a guy out for a jog can get gunned down. He did nothing to these kids, he is minding his own business and he ends up dead. When I saw it was America I was looking forward to them getting the death penalty but as I understand it because they are under the age of 18 it doesn't apply which is a shame.
