How is the current line up "poor", WWE has picked up some of the best of the indies and the young talent is through the roof, why would you want to see occasional mediocre matches from Rock and HHH and see Austin work under countless injuries?

I'm a Shield hater. I HATE the Shield so damn much, words cannot describe it. And I don't like the Rhodes very much. So I hated the Rhodes vs Shield match; it didn't really appeal to me either. I'm a huge fan of Taker so, of course I'd lean toward the Taker vs. Punk match (let alone anything with Taker in it.) The Rock vs Cena rematch shouldn't really have happened, in my opinion. Ok, Cena lost last year, but was that match Match of the Year last year? Nope! Taker vs Triple H was! And I think that if the WWE title wasn't on the line, Taker vs Punk would have won Match of the Year.

I like Undertaker and a big fan, it rubbed off mostly from my father, who is a even bigger Undertaker fan. It's not about liking one person or another, or a wrestler. It's about match quality, build up, and in ring psychology in my view. That's what Shield/Rhodes had. The Rhodes were getting pushed around, being fired by the Authority , and now this was their last stand. The family together, putting on a great match with the Shield. That's my personal opinion as to why it deserves match of the year. Punk/Taker was the best match at Mania, but it had poor build up and it wasn't as good.

I get the fact that the build-up sucked. But I can see where you're going with this. Now I get all of that crap that happened to Cody and that the build up was better than Taker's. I don't look at wrestling that way, I guess.

I was upset that Punk/Taker didn't win. When me, my brother and sister watched that match, we were jumping up and down, screaming at our tv. If that didn't win, Rhodes vs. Shield should've won and Brock/Punk should've been nominated.

It's not that Taker didn't return (like I'd expect him to this early anyway) but Taker vs. Punk did NOT win match of the year and I, along with the millions of Taker fans wanna know...why and how? Why didn't this match win and how didn't it win?
