The show opens up with DDW GM Vickie Guerrero stood in the ring. She announces that DDW have signed Ted Dibiase Jr. and Dean Malenko and that they will compete right now to showcase what talented wrestlers DDW has signed.
Ted Dibiase vs Dean Malenko
This was a back and forth match with both new superstars desperate to impress. Both men were determined to make an early impression in DDW and they both pulled out the stops. Dibiase showing his technical ablity with numerous suplex varietys and Malenko showing his submission skills. Malenko eventually picked up the win after Dibiase tapped out to the Texas cloverleaf.
Winner: Dean Malenko
EC3 vs Justin Gabriel
This match can be described as nothing short of a squash match. Any kind of offensive that Gabriel tried to create was just stopped in it’s tracks by the impressive EC3. EC3 toyed with Gabriel hitting numerous high impact moves. He got the three count after hitting a devastating one percent.
Winner: EC3
A promo for Chris Jericho vs Prince Devitt which will take place later is shown.
The Miz vs Heath Slater
From the moment this match started, The Miz was on the lookout for Bray Wyatt. This clearly affected him as he didn’t know where he was at any point during the match. Slater capalised on this and went at the Miz from the get-go. The Miz got some offense back with a backbreaker but lost his cool once again which caused Slater to be able to hit some more offense. The Miz started to take control of the match, this was until Bray Wyatt’s music hit, distracting the Miz and allowing Heath Slater to roll the Miz up and get a three count. After the match, Bray Wyatt entered the ring, The Miz ran at him with a clothesline but Wyatt ducked it and caught the Miz in a sister Abigail!
Winner: Heath Slater
Chris Jericho was seen doing a backstage interview about Prince Devitt with Renee Young. Suddenly, disaster struck for Jericho with the Bullet Club (minus Prince Devitt) viciously attacking Jericho. They stopped away at him and left him lying in a pool of his own blood for the second week in a row.
Chris Jericho vs Prince Devitt
Chris Jericho was unable to show up for this match after the dangerous attack from the Bullet Club. The referee was left with no other choice than to hand the win to Prince Devitt. Devitt got on the mic and talked about how Jericho was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Devitt left with the line “People are talking about what the consequences are for the Bullet Club when instead they should be talking about what the consequences are for DDW if we don’t get what we want.â€
Winner: Prince Devitt via forfeit
Randy Orton’s open challenge
With no possible competition to face him, Randy Orton decided to host an open challenge where anyone from the DDW locker room can come out and face him to show him that they’re worthy of being in his presence. He waited and waited until nobody showed. He then said
“I guess nobody is man enough…
“YOU THINK YOU KNOW MEâ€
EDGE’S THEME MUSIC BLARES OVER THE ARENA AS THE FANS GO NUTS AND ORTON LOOKS ON IN DISBILIEF. EDGE RUNS DOWN INTO THE RING, HE DUCKS UNDER AN ORTON CLOTHESLINE AND SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR! EDGE SPEARS THE WORLD CHAMPION. SACRIFICE ENDS WITH EDGE PICKING UP THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AND HOLDING IT ALOFT AS HE STANDS OVER A DOWNED ORTON.
