I just see his current character as being somewhat transitional. At some point, he'll go away for a little while. When he comes back, he'll have tights of some kind and no reference will be made to the fact he used to wrestle in jeans. Of course I could be wrong about that.
Despite the last-second 5-Star Frog Splash, the match was pretty good. Cesaro looked good, RVD looked....like RVD. But he's got credibility due to his history, so it's something. It was a decent match for a throwaway.
