No Country for Old Men by a long while. I didn't like True Grit either and a couple things about NCFOM bothered me (despite being an amazing flick). I guess I'm not a fan of the Coen directors.

My favorite movie of the Coen's was Fargo, followed by Big Lebowski and No Country for Old Men.
Oh and I'd definitely add 'A Serious Man' to that. No Country for Old Men beats it, but only barely.
Did anybody else find True Grit bad? I couldn't even finish watching it it was so bad. Couldn't understand what Bridges was saying and the movie was a total bore.
The Place Beyond The Pines
Fantastic film. I really didn't expect the film to be layed out in the way that it was, but I think knowing very little about the overall story made it that much more enjoyable to watch. Great performances from Gosling, Cooper and Mendelsohn especially, but the rest of the supporting job do a very good job as well. The pace to the film is perfect, and despite the fact that it's 140 mins long it really doesn't drag on. Some tiny question marks on how they handled the end of the film, that that really doesn't take a whole lot away from it overall. 9/10
