Excellent performances by both Streep and Hoffman. Great directing and production all around. IMO, this film displays the inherent problem with "faith."

Unstoppable - Based on real events in Ohio...a train escapes, Denzel to the rescue..all is well. Done pretty good, more action than yapping. Amazing that anything like this could have happened. 3/5

Descendants - My girlfriend made me watch this with her it was a decent little dramedy with Clooney being Clooney and really impressive work from his two daughters in the movie as well.

This scary PG-13 movie was actually pretty good. Lots of scares and had the crowd covering their eyes and ears. Great ending as well.

Overall: 7.5/10

Resident Evil: Afterlife - Surprisingly good and fun to watch. No real thought provoking stuff here but fun nonetheless. Actually I think the whole series is a little underrated. 3.5/5

Drive (2011) 9/10
Watched this for the second time on DVD last night, and it remains one of my favoruite films of the last year. Stunning visuals, chilling soundtrack, a tightly woven plot with sharp twists and another excellent Ryan Gosling performance.

Chronicle (2011) 5/10
This is getting some unjust priase I think. It is a good idea which is pretty effective in the begining, but then it kind of falls in love with itself and becomes too gimmicky and over the top. When it turns into a super hero film in the second half it loses its edge. I didn't care about any of the characters.

Hangover 2 - 7ish/10

Thought the first one was great and had really high hopes for this second one but I just thought it was a bit meh. Other than most of the Alan parts, I really didn't laugh at all.

The Hurt Locker - It's not that I didn't like this movie...it's just that I've seen it before in Jarhead, Full Metal Jacket and others. Some scenes were absolutely riveting. The sniper sequence was fuckin awesome. However, overall the movie didn't appeal to me as it obviously appealed to so many others. Not a bad movie by any means...just not as groundbreaking for me as it was for some. 6.5/10
