I never said he's as entertaining now as he was as a heel, that's not possible. My argument is that he is still very entertaining, more than most of the current roster.

He's actually a 'FACE' in that segment...

Of course not, I just saw Rock vs Stone Cold. If he was a face then it was circa 2001 during the Invasion angle. IMO Austin was more entertaining during that period as well. Rock does not work as well as a face than he does as a heel. The fact remains, along with my main point, he is entertaining whether you find his gimmick stale or not. Who in WWE today can cut a better promo than the Rock face or heel?

That segment is before WrestleMania 17. Both Austin and Rock were faces at the time. Stone Cold turned heel after he used Vince McMahon to win the belt at WrestleMania...

I think you're right. Maybe he just CAN'T be The Rock anymore.

But what pisses me off is people (in the arena and on the internet) that treat him like some sort of god. And that ranges from marks, to smarks to WWE board of directors.

Yeah. People complain about how Punk marks call him the BITW and etc when he's not but Rock gets treated like he can do nothing wrong.

And for me, personally, Rock doesn't do anything more than Cena as far as entertainment goes. Cena is much more stale than him, but probably because I had to withstand his crap every week for years now instead of much less Rock, although both are being shoved down my throat. Ofc, most people have a different opinion and enjoy watching Rock do his stuff, to each his own. Maybe it's because I didn't watch him during his prime, but for me, at least, him coming back when WWE isn't even his main stuff, winning the belt and spending the ME spot of Raw telling a story completely unrelated to the product is not really fun to watch.

Would've preferred something that has to do with the product instead of 20 minutes of random stories followed by "oh, let's not forget I'll wrestle Punk on Sunday, I'll kick your ass Punk" :meh:

The Rock's story, albeit not really pertaining to his feud, was more entertaining than anything Cena or Sheamus have said in years.
