I know almost nothing about how the name changing works on this site since I'm the type of guy who has had Cowboy Bebop as his signature since 2013 and I will never change it, but I do think if there isn't some limit on name changing their probably should be. While slight momentary confusion from not knowing who's who and whatever can be mildly annoying, I'm against removing the feature fully because this site's been around for even longer than 2013 and people can change a lot over the years. Like the PSN, I'm still upset that I'm stuck with the username I made over eight years ago when I thought it was going to be a shared account with my brother before it quickly became my personal account since he never actually touched the darn PS3, and now I've got way too many trophies to ever justify starting. I'd easily pay the twenty dollars if Sony just charged us to change it like I heard Microsoft does, I hope this is announced at E3.

I'm veering off-topic, people should be allowed to change their names but perhaps with a limit installed to curb confusion. Or perhaps, you know that little user bar thing below are avatar that you have to click on to see posts information and stuff? Is it possible to just implement previous usernames into that section? Like, not all of them, just like the last name "The poster formerly known as Prince", that way any member confused would have a method to quickly identify who the poster is that's just a click away. Though I also admittedly never use the mobile version of this site, since my phone can barely handle Google, but I don't imagine it'd be any different on that.

Final note, I appreciate the users who change their names but stick to a theme. I think Seth has had a different username every time I've logged on here but it's also had Seth incorporated into somewhere so he's always easily identifiable. And I remember when Snowman was a Rainman.

I'll say this...a name is supposed to be a definitive statement of who you are or who you inspire to be. If you can't take the fuckin' 5 to 10 minutes to think of a name that works well, spelled correctly and you can stick with then maybe you shouldn't be on a forum or even on the Internet for that matter. It really should not be that fuckin' hard to choose a name but I mean if the name bothers you that much, just delete your account and start over from scratch...

:epicpalm:

Or maybe we all just need a 1 name change limit maybe 2 at most. That's my opinion on this.

Still the "King Of Armageddon"

Thank you for the kind words in a sense, and to be fair I have had two names that didn't have Seth in them and that was when I was The Oddity, the name I signed up with, and Emperor Blizzard, the name I had before I changed it.

Everyone is going to have different views on this. I for one find it very annoying when people constantly change their avatars (on a regular basis) but I associate people with those. I don't complain about it though, they have the option on this forum and it is their right as a member to do so. The name changes oddly enough don't bother me as much as the avatars being changed cause once I have a name in my head, you will always be that to me. Nikki will always be Haze, "something something" Seth will always be Seth, Reag will always be a PITA.

However, I can see why this can cause issues and I can understand why some people may not like when others do it.

"Something Something" Seth may become my new name, now, thanks for the idea, lol.

I mean, you know nine-times out of ten my avatar involves Pokemon or a certain woodland creature, the word Beav is always in it, and the posts sometimes involve making terrible jokes or using the :3 emoji.

You change yours a lot but not often to a point where it is like a nearly daily/weekly thing. Also, you always keep within a gimmick like you said. Not a big deal.
