Rumors are flying over a Stone Cold Steve Austin fan page that is recognized by Steve himself, indicating that he will be returning to the WWE at Wrestlemania 30. Is there any way to confirm this?

I don't know, what's the source on the rumours? I haven't heard anything from the trusted sources so for now I'd say its just that, a rumour.

The rumour's been doing the rounds for at least a year now, everything from Austin vs. Punk to Austin vs. HHH. I'll believe it when it happens, but I reckon if he was to appear, it'd be as a guest ref once again or something. 10 years is a long time away, he's got his health to consider, and he's doing well enough post-WWE to not need to risk it for a payday.

He's been being a dick about it saying hes healthy enough to return but the stars have align yada yada.

There's been rumors he'd face triple h as mr mcmahons representative at WM XXX but those plans were apparently scrapped.

Thank God, the last thing we need is Austin/HHH at 'Mania...like seriously, the LAST thing.

I could honestly see the main event at 'Mania be John Cena w/Vince McMahon vs. Randy Orton w/Triple H for control of the WWE with Stone Cold as the guest ref. Either that or just drop Orton out of it and have HHH challenge Cena on his own.

Dude you don't think Triple H is wrestling at Mania? I'd be shocked.

Well yeah, I do think it would be weird, which is why the second part of my post said that Orton could be dropped and HHH could just wrestle on his own. I originally mentioned that in the Early WM 30 predictions thread as well. I figure that route is simple, HHH says he'll fight Vince for the company but Vince says he can't fight since he knows he'll lose and so asks HHH to let him use a representative, to which HHH agrees. Then Vince brings out John Cena and bada-bing, you've got your McMania main event.

And one I could actually want to see... for some reason I feel like Vince hand picking Cena to be his representative in a match for control of the company can only help in any scenario... Cena winning or losing... it could be one great storyline.

THe source is a fanpage on Facebook. Its simply called Stone Cold Steve Austin. Most of the posts are pics with like requests. Steve has acknowledged the page via his WWE Facebook account, but has not commented on this post.

It didn't say anything about him wrestling, just that he was making an appearance.

I wouldn't be surprised if he makes an appearance, it is the 30 year anniversary of 'Mania after all and I'm sure WWE will want to have as many guests as possible. Not sure when it comes back on the air but if Austin's "Redneck Island" show is starting up again or already running he could be there to promote it as well.

I'd say the idea of him being the special ref is a possibility if that's the match they do, although HBK is another and of course the drama there is that we'd be wondering whether he'd side with Hunter.

Here ya go!

AUSTIN SAYS WM XXX INVOLVEMENT IS SLIM
- WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin appeared on the MMA Hour show
with Ariel Helwani earlier this week and talked about if he's ready for
one more match, say, maybe at WrestleMania XXX. Austin said it took him
three years to get wrestling out of his system, calling it a "long
withdrawal" and now it has been 11 years since he had the last match. "I
know a lot of fans would love to see it. But what if it's not what it
should have been or could have been?," asked the former champ, saying he
doesn't want to be at 90 percent if he goes for it. "It would take a three
or four months of a UFC style training camp to pull it off, get the timing
and the right wind. It would take at least three months of training,
period, and then, what next?" added Austin. "The chances are pretty damn
slim to be quite frank about it."

Yeah, I figured as much that Austin wouldn't be in a wrestling capacity. He has said numerous numerous times that the chances of him wrestling again are very slim. Even at his HOF induction when most of the guys kinda try to keep it a mystery like "never say never", he wouldn't even entertain the idea to the fans lol. I could definitely see him in some sort of capacity, maybe even making a run in type situation, but for an actual match...nah I don't see it ever happening.

Yeahhh, i know what you mean man. Well ill listen to his podcast every now and then and i know he works out and trains almost every day. But its not the same as being in shape for a whole match... i can see him doing like a run in as well though
