*SPOILERS* WWE SmackDown Tapings for 2/25/11

[Troy]

* Teddy Long opened the show and announces that Vickie Guerrero will compete in a match tonight with her job on the line.

* Rey Mysterio defeated Kane.

* Dusty Rhodes came out and called out Cody Rhodes. Dusty talked Cody into apologizing to Rey Mysterio. Dusty and Rey shook hands until Dusty turned on Rey. Cody beat Rey down and took his mask, smashing Rey into the mirror for his entrance.

* Dusty and Code are backstage. Dusty said he would do anything for Cody.

* Rosa Mendes beat Layla by DQ when Michelle McCool, who was on commentary, attacked Rosa. More tension between LayCool.

* Jack Swagger beat Kofi Kingston with the ankle lock.

* Vickie Guerrero is trying to recruit Chavo Guerrero for some help backstage but he's not having any of it.

* Big Show beat Wade Barrett by countout. The Corre was banned from ringside. After the match, Show hit Wade and went for a chokeslam but Corre came out for the save. Show chased them off with a steel chair.

* Edge and Kelly Kelly beat Vickie Guerrero and Drew McIntyre when Kelly speared Vickie and Edge speared Drew. Teddy Long came down to celebrate with Edge and Kelly while Vickie throws a fit, even asking Booker T for help. Per the stipulation from Teddy at the show opener, it looks like Vickie has lost her job. After the match, Alberto Del Rio comes down and attacks Edge.

Dusty Rhodes on Smackdown will be awesome. I like that he has turned heel to side with his son, it makes sense that he would do that. Building their feud nicely with Cody getting the upper hand tonight.

Vickie losing her job on Smackdown leaves her open to go with Dolph Ziggler to RAW as a couple. Not sure I would keep them together but I don't see what else she would do.

I hope they aren't pushing for Big Show vs the Corre at WM in a handicap match, it would suck.

No Christian on the show.

Little bit dissapointed on the abscense of Christian, hopefully there is a reason for that. Maybe it heats up Edge & Christian because he wasn't there for him. I really want to see a triple threat, I can see the three of them being perfect in that sort of match.

I remember reading the he still wasn't 100% fit to return to the ring so maybe they are keeping him away until he is completely fit. Maybe there is a video promo for him as well on the show just to keep him fresh in everyones memory. They have to make something of Christian, Edge and ADR and making the WM a triple threat would be the best way to go about it.

I have a bad feeling Christian will be used to further build Del Rio for Edge. And will be lucky if there is a MITB match at Mania.

Dusty taking his sons side sounds awesome, haven't seen a heel Dusty since NWO days.

It's a shame to see Kane losing all the time again especially against "the ultimate underdog" Rey Mysterio again. He was World Champion most of last year now he's just doing this I don't know how this always happens.. Anyway looks like Cody Rhodes will be taking Rey on at WrestleMania, should be pretty good. I suppose Dusty Rhodes with Cody should help him out a bit. I wonder if Goldust will get involved or something haha.

Vickie Guerrero is obviously off to RAW with Dolph Ziggler, I would think they will make there RAW debut in the next 2 weeks.

I think Jack Swagger vs. Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania? And Big Show vs. Big Zeke.

I'm hoping that next week on RAW or Smackdown Alberto Del Rio will beat someone up then Christian makes the save again and hopefully this could lead to Christian getting in the match, but knowing the WWE he will just be buried by ADR and get into Money in the Bank if it's on and even then he will not win it sucks.

I think the absence of Christian is similar to the absence of The Rock like on Raw. Although the Smackdown ratings are not nearly as important as the Raw ratings, I'm sure the WWE can get many more viewers tuning in on Fridays to want to see Christian. Especially with what happened at EC, and him not showing up this week, people may tune in to see him next week.

Doesn't look like the best Smackdown, kinda average. Totally agree KWC about Dusty Rhodes though.
