Several weeks ago on RAW, WWE tag champion Shawn Michaels issued the challenge to The Undertaker for a WrestleMania rematch in Arizona. While WWE had previously considered names like Vince McMahon, Chris Jericho and John Cena as possible WrestleMania opponents for the Undertaker, the current plan is for Shawn Michaels to get his wish and another chance to break the Dead Man's winning streak. The SmackDown! storyline which was building up a possible Undertaker vs. Vince McMahon showdown seems to have been dropped with Vince expected to do a major angle with Bret Hart.

Another WrestleMania 26 match still being discussed is Edge vs. Chris Jericho. The latest on Edge is that he should be healthy by March in time to build up a Wrestleania match. Edge and Jericho were WWE tag champions before Edge was injured and Jericho cut several heel promos about how Edge was the weak link in the team, setting up a built-in feud down the road.

I'm sure the 3 week build till Mania will make for a real interesting match between Jericho and Edge...

Edge doesn't necessarily have to be back wrestling in order to start building the program early. Jericho's so awesome he could probably build the program by himself. Edge would just need to do some promos or show up on crutches for some angles.

Source please. If true, which I doubt, it would be stupid to do HBK-Taker again. HBK was beat last year and people just won't buy into it again, unless HBK pins Taker sometime between now and then. But I guess this is better than Vince/Taker, because no one with half a brain would believe that. Right now, the best and perhaps most logical choice seems to be Cena. Fuck Cena in another title match @ Mania. I'd like the title matches to be similar to the WM 19 fashion, with some fresh blood in the scene (Angle/Lesnar/Booker T were ALL fresh) and certainly no Triple H, unless he's dropping to HBK.

Of course Jericho-Edge has been speculated, it was speculated as soon as the dude was injured. Where is this report from, as it seems that it isn't news as much as hack-reporting and speculation.

This could be the BEST WM in years.

I also hear it's HHH vs. Sheamus, idk if its for the belt or not.

Yeah I just read the HHH vs Sheamus report (seems as credible as it may get as it's coming from Meltzer).

Edge vs Jericho gets thumbs up, HBK vs Taker gets thumbs down for lackof creativity.

I'm sorry I think the possibility of a Undertaker vs. HBK rematch is awesome. I do agree that with all the possible angles this could be one of the best Wrestlemania's ever. I'm torn on the Vince vs. Bret. I don't think Bret should be doing anything in the ring period, but maybe the best (and safest) thing to do if they do a match is just have Bret beat the crap out of him and maybe stretch Vince the way his father used to do to the kids that came through the Dungeon.

Part of me though honestly would like to see the HBK vs. Triple H match that would have led to HBK's apparent retirement, and Cena vs. Taker would have been cool, especially if both were champions and they were planning to unify the belts, though it would make Royal Rumble a little pointless.

Edge vs. Jericho, should Edge be heathy will be fantastic as well.

While I love the idea of a HBK/Taker rematch, I was looking forward to seeing HHH/HBK in a possible heel turn for either Shawn or Hunter. Since that probably won't happen, a Taker/Shawn rematch is the next best thing, I don't think they'll top last year's match, but I'm sure they'll come close

There's a Triple H vs. Sheamus report? Yes plz. While I don't enjoy Hunter too much these days, for some reason I really think him and Sheamus could gel well together.

I guess HHH is going to be giving the nod to Sheamus at Mania... maybe putting him over, hopefully for the title. Sounds good to me.

Not really wanting HBK/Undertaker again. I am afraid it will be impossible to live up to the last one unless they use some kind of gimmick like HiaC.

HIAC between the two would have the possibility of topping the last match, but would also have the possibility of sucking shit.

But who knows how much truth the report holds, I remember the report last year of a big storyline with Kane/HBK and Taker that ended with Kane retiring HBK at Backlash, or something like that.

That was leaked by an actual writer who was fired, Brandon.
