Spielberg Looking to Remake Classic Film

Steven Spielberg eyes 'Grapes of Wrath' | Inside Movies | EW.com

I don't know how many of you really care about this if you haven't seen the original film. I don't really know how I feel about Grapes of Wrath being remade since I enjoyed the original so much, and I don't know who they could cast in Fonda's place. I'd give it a watch though, just hope the do it justice.

Why not just buy the rights to the original, remaster the shit out of it and rerelease it in theaters? Somebody should remake E.T and see how he feels about that/

Not that I am a fan of Grapes of Wrath, but I am not a big fan of remakes, so very few are even decent that they should just be stopped altogether.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of remakes at all. And I just don't see Grapes of Wrath doing well these days, I feel it was best in black and white and if it were to be in color, some of the atmosphere would be taken away.
