As some of you know I have started watching wrestling again from around August. INthe lead up to it I was looking at a lot of articles about how bad WWE has been since 2015 or so. Most of it seemed to boil down to.

1. Roman failing as "the guy"
2. Daniel Bryan and CM Punk leaving active wrestling.
3. The Authority being just another "its all about the McMahons (again).

Anyway for the most part I have been enjoying it a lot and it is better than say the mid 90's and I prefer the average episode of Smackdown over the average Attitude Era which I am also watching now. RAW is a bit long and not as good IMHO.

Rating seem to be slowly picking up as well as September was the worst since pre Attitude Era when WWF almost went under in 1995.

To me the WWF is roughly where they were in late 1996/97. Things are getting better but we will see how it turns out.

Yeah it has improved alot this year.

I'd say about a month before wrestlemania 32 is when it started because I remember people being rather pleased and alot of people saying "it's because it's the buildup of wm. Once mania is done it'll go back to normal"

And it kind of stayed decent for a few months and then when the brand split happened it got a little better. I'm personally pleased with most of it now. I'm so glad they have two different shows. Each has its own feel. And everything just feels right.

Except 2 ppvs a month. That is a chore to watch everything.

There's countless things to appreciate in wrestling right now. You just have to look for them.

As a guy who's only watched since 2008, I still have plenty to gripe about but think this is probably the best year I've seen WWE have.

Yeah, both the shows and ppvs have drastically improved since the draft took place, nxt has been awesome, look at the main events of Raw each week, they are ppv Quality, SD is also keeping up, that's what we wanted for so long

I couldn't agree more, just look at the average match quality of each show, I remember watching ppvs of 2009 and telling myself is this really a ppv main event?
But in 2016, matches that are given away on free TV, are rated 4, 4.25 on an average basis by many wrestling pundits including Dave Meltzer! The women's division has been simply awesome! So yes, WWE has improved drastically since mid 2016

Oh definitely, a lot of that might be due to the roster influx from NXT and Triple H taking the reigns somewhat behind the scenes. But definitely a huge improvement from last year.

It's an improvement from where we were last year, but unfortunately, that's not saying much. I've always been one of the more positive people when it comes to the WWE and I maintain the fact that they can continue to get better. And I like the brand split because it allows more people on their roster to shine. It allows for people who might not have a chance in a world dominated by the former members of the Shield to shine and build their careers.

It has been a step in the right direction, but there is still a lot of improvement to be had.

Yes it has...although...I am worried as a tiny bit of "staleness" is creeping in...
but hopefully the returns of Emma(lina), Summer Rae, Eva Marie, Tamina Snuka
and the main roster elevation of Asuka in 2017 will help keep the division fresh.

I only came back to wrestling this year...and I've really enjoyed it. I know I appear
to be a bit of snarky prick with some of my comments...but honestly...the overall
quality of wrestling has improved greatly since I was last a regular viewer...and
while there are many booking decisions I don't really like or understand...I'm happy
to sit back and enjoy it.

Plus...Goldberg destroyed Bork La$er in 1 minute & 26 seconds...which I'm still
smiling about. Thanks again for that WWE...I couldn't have booked it better myself.

If you think you've been a snarky prick, then you really are new back in the wrestling world :) Compared to many, many of the snarky prick wrestling fans online, you could consider yourself a Vince fan boy :D

Well...there really is no point complaining about things that won't change...
I mean...I don't understand why Roman Reigns keeps getting pushed...
And why guys like Cesaro, Sami Zayn & Neville can't get the booking
they deserve...but me complaining about that won't change anything.

I mean...I do complain...but there is no point getting aggressive about
it and carrying on like foul mouthed, brainless, immature idiot.

What am I going to do? Watch TNA? Or Lucha Underground?

No...I'm not...WWE is all I need...mainly because of Charlotte, Alexa Bliss
& the many other talented female wrestlers they have performing for them.

At the end of the day...wrestling is meant to be an exciting and enjoyable
experience...and I just want to have fun watching it.

Yeah I loved the way they ended it, Goldberg needed that kind of dominance without fighting several matches, plus that's also a great way to continue their feud, it gives a sense of unpredictability

Absolutely right, that's exactly what I complain about every time I see Cesaro and Sheamus, wakk!
Those three are the most underestimated guys ever, especially Cesaro, as he has repeatedly proved he can easily hang out with the best names the business has to offer, but poor old Vince, with his 1980 s ideas just won't listen

Vince once said that, there are no such thing as wrestlers, only sports entertainers, that's a reflection of how he thinks, and that may answer your questions about reigns getting what he doesn't deserve, and Cesaro, zayn getting screwed over and over again

Yes...I definitely am...
poor old Vince, with his 1980's ideas just won't listen
And its those same ideas/ideals that allow Braun Strowman & Baron Corbin
to grace our televisions and entertain us to sleep.

Yeah...well...hopefully in time things will change...but for now we just
have to focus on the positives and enjoy what we can.
