How would you go about "fixing" the obvious problem that this match is going to throw up and that's the crowd inevitably going to shit all over it.

Would you have them go on last as planned to a presumably hostile crowd and tell them to DEAL WITH IT, all the while your big 30 year anniversary of WrestleMania and debut PPV on the network goes off air to a string of boos.

Would you keep the same match but it bump it down a slot and have Taker close out WrestleMania and to take it one step further, a staredown with Sting.

Would you add Bryan to the match to try and keep the fans onside but still go with Batista winning even to a negative reaction.

Would you add Bryan to the match and tell Dave that plans have changed and that Bryan is walking out champion.

Really, I think WWE has a massive decision to make (if they haven't already) because I don't think you can just ignore it and act like nothing is wrong because I just think it gives off a bad impression. Obviously this thread may be poorly timed because we could get a change in direction tonight, but regardless what would you do about it?

Batista HAS to go heel not just because the crowd is basically turning him into one but because it is not often you have this kind of chance to have a heel like this whole is getting legit heat that you didn't have to try hard for him to get. Him as face just is not going to work that much is obvious. More importantly Bryan has to be in the match unless they want their mania main event to get shit on which would be a terrible look. Even if Bryan doesn't win at the very least he has to be added to this match for that reason and match quality reason because a Orton/Batista match would blow as the main event for mania. You don't really have to do anything with Orton as long as those two things happen or at least adding Bryan to it.

At least Orton is getting the reaction WWE wants at the moment so there's no real problem there. Dude's been a damn good heel since this turn and I've been enjoying his sucking up. Honestly don't know what they'll do with Batista because if that match is just Batista/Orton then the crowd will shit all over it and no matter how you feel about either guy you know that won't be very enjoyable.

Then you could turn Batista heel but how could you do that before 'Mania without making Orton look like a bitch? Batista can't go heel unless he sides with HHH and that wouldn't turn Orton face, he'd just seem like a whiny heel who has no chance because now no one's backing him. It's an interesting situtation that I"m glad I don't have to book.

Orton be Orton, add Bryan to the match, and let Batista turn at mania by siding with Hunter. Everyone wins

Add Lesnar to the match and still let Taker end the show. Because Taker is a huge part of mania and it would make a whole bunch of sense for him to be standing in the ring striking a pose to end 30 years celebration.

So who would 'Taker be against then?

At this point I'd just say fuck it and keep Batista/Orton in the main event. Batista is going to get shit on regardless by the WWE Universe, and unless if he's taken off the title match, the WWEWHC match is going to get booed out of the building regardless who gets involved. Bryan added to the match would look good on paper, but considering that the Authority will end up following Bryan into the Batista/Orton feud it will make things very muddy and just plain god awful.

tl;dr fans can deal with it

Don't see how it would be more awful than a Batista/Orton main event. Batista is getting these boos because it is felt Bryan should have won the rumble instead so of course Bryan being in would save it from being shitted on cause they'll be too busy cheering for Bryan.

It wouldn't look very good on WWE, but cutting Batista out of the match really wouldn't be the worst idea in the world at this stage. As I said in the Chamber thread, he simply looks out of place in the main event. Whatever about drawing power, when no one in the crowd wants to see it (or him) leading up to Mania then I doubt the Mania crowd itself will be any better.

If they're not going to cut him from the main event (which I'm sure they won't), then maybe they should go with an Undertaker main event. As much as Bryan should be in the WWE title match, there's no point if Batista is going to win anyway. There's no payoff in that.

Big Show/Batista in the Hammerstein ballroom. People shit on it, so they hugged it out to troll them.

Knowing Batista, he would probably do the same just to say "fuck you" to the people who talk shit about him.....especially when he knows he draws while others don't. Something that obviously drives "hardcore" batshit.

I wouldn't see a problem with them adding someone to the match to add to it. It isn't like they haven't done it before.

Except the fans.
Those same fans who just can't seem to make up their mind on what they want? Chant for Daniel Bryan, then chant JBL during his matches? Those fans wanting Punk for 5 seconds? Those same people who marked the fuck out for Big Show beating on orton, but didn't give him the time of day that same week? Fuck em, give em what they want? What do they fucking want? They'll just complain anyways so fuck em, they'll take what they give em, bitch about it, but come back for more.
