I find it funny that anyone is upset over the results of this. Music is completely subjective. My rankings if I were to do them today would probably be different than when I did them a month ago. Moods change. I know the albums I was able to pick are great and nobody is going to tell me otherwise, you're just not as into them as much as I am. That's fine and warranted. It doesn't take away from the greatness that is in that music. I think everyone should feel the same way about their lists. Who cares what I or anyone else thinks? It's all a matter of taste.
I'll give you an example:
Led Zeppelin...a historically great band. I think most would agree. I listened to them religiously when I was in high school, so much so, I don't listen to them anymore, by choice. Has their greatness changed, not at all? My tastes have changed. When I do hear them, especially if it's a song not as popular or when they're experimenting, I still marvel at them.
The take away from this entire exercise should be new to you music. A song, album or band that you may now like, love and want to explore more. There's no greatest anything in music. Band, guitarist, album, etc. How do you quantify that? It can't be done.
