Smackdown opened with a memorial for Nelson Frazier, Jr. (a/k/a Mabel, Viscera, Big Daddy V)... The Uso's and Daniel Bryan vs. The New Age Outlaws and Kane was hyped, plus an A.J. Lee vs. Cameron rematch.

Batista started out the show with mixed boos and cheers. Batista started off by saying "I love this business and company." He said he did not come back to be liked. A huge C.M. Punk chant broke out. He said you don't have to support him, but you gotta deal with it. He said it's a fact he can destroy anyone they put in front of him. A small Daniel Bryan chant started and died quickly.

Batista asked what the hell happened to this business, the real men, the attitude. A huge Yes! chant broke out. He said if the fans honestly think their heroes are as good as him they need to get out of their fantasy world and to get out of his. He said he would destroy each of our heroes on his way to WrestleMania where he will become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Out came Dolph Ziggler. A "Let's Go Ziggler" chant broke out. Ziggler started out by saying, "You don't tell these people who to cheer for" and that they cheer for who they want. He said Batista is a dinosaur and sooner or later they become extinct. Ziggler said he wants a match with Batista tonight. Batista said he wanted it he would get it. Ziggler dropkicked him and walked away...

1. The Real Americans beat Big E and Mark Henry. Swagger and E started the match. Cesaro supplexed E when Cesaro was on the top rope and E was outside of the ropes. Cesaro went for the pin and Swagger came in. Cesaro was angry. Henry went for the World's Strongest Slam on Swagger, but Cesaro kicked Henry. Swagger went for the Ankle Lock on Henry, and Cesaro tagged himself in. Cesaro hits The Neutralizer on Henry (drawing gasps from the crowd) for the win...

Vickie Guerrero and Alberto Del Rio were shown talking backstage. Del Rio said he's going to take the night off. In came Sheamus, who said he loves a good fight. Hs said how about he and Del Rio fight, setting up the next match...

2. Sheamus beat Alberto Del Rio by DQ. Sheamus has black athletic tape on his ribs. It was basically the same match between the two. Out came Christian in a suit. He went to the announcers' Table. It was a back and forth match but nothing special. Sheamus had Del Rio in a half crab then Christian came in and hit Sheamus for the DQ. Sheamus threw Christian out of the ring, then Brogue kicked Del Rio, and got Killswitched by Christian...

The Shield argued backstage. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose yelled at each other like children. Enter Seth Rollins for the save. He said let's show Bray Wyatt when you provoke the hounds you get the teeth...

3. Batista beat Dolph Ziggler. Dolph with fast offense to start. Batista got in the face of a fan wearing the clown wig. A boring chant started, then a C.M. Punk chant (which I started, ha). This is a slow match. There were a couple spine busters in a row from Batista, who was generating serious heat by taunting the WWE Universe. Batista performed the Batista Bomb for the win...

Bray Wyatt and the family come out. Wyatt preached about how we buy fancy clothing to impress women. He said women don't even realize your wearing the mask that society tells you to wear. Everything is a bag of lies. Bray is so so amazing live. Bray said he says and does everything the society is afraid to do. He said he will slay this mighty dragon (in reference to John Cena).

Out came The Shield. There was a stare down in the ring. Out came Triple H, who said this is enough and has too much money and time involved in them. This Monday night on Raw, the Wyatt's will take on The shield. He said that for the time being, The Shield should stand down.

Reigns and The Shield stepped into the ring and only Bray stepped in. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins jumped onto Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, then quickly got back into the ring. Bray left and Seth was pumped. Bray backed the family up...

4. AJ Lee beat Cameron to retain the Divas Championship. AJ started fast on offense. Cameron went on the offensive and was destroying AJ. Tamina moved AJ out of the corner and Cameron missed her and rammed into the corner. Tamina got thrown out, but AJ won with the Black Widow...

A recap of the undertaker and Brock Lesnar confrontation from Raw was shown, then the pre-show commentary team spoke about Taker's Streak...

5. Daniel Bryan and The Uso Brothers beat Kane and The New Age Outlaws. There were huge Yes! chants. Out came corporate Kane. The Outlaws didn't do their whole saying. The Uso's and Bryan work very well together. Kane looks so stupid in a wife beater and slacks and dress shoes. A "you sold out" chant began. Kane and the Outlaws huddled outside and talked strategy. I'm so impressed with the Uso's. I can see gold on them soon. A straight forward match early on. Nothing special. Bryan tagged in and sent a knee to Kane on the ropes. Kane got back into the match and stopped the Bryan comeback. The Uso's double kicked Kane and sent him out of the ring. Bryan hit the running knee on Billy Gunn for the win. This match closed the show. No dark match, nor return date announced...

Seems to be a pretty decent show. I think we can probably add a possibility of Sheamus vs. Christian at Mania. I wouldn't mind that at all.

Cesaro tho. What a beast!

Seems like an average SD show.

I have to see Cesaro taking down Henry like that. Seems like a pretty solid show.

Also: 6 man tag rematch next week for RAW! :mark:

I saw that as well, I barely watch wrestling these days but surely Ziggler is the future?

Then again no one remembers these matches when you go on and perform like 90 times a year.

Ziggler became Shelton Benjamin. Only so long you can wear that future tag until you become yesterday's news tbh.

And at Mania season WWE is forced to reach out and get big names became no one has made a name in house, why you gotta feed them to a guy like Batista right now, only real use for guys like Ziggler.

WWE sure is fucked then when Batista, Triple H, Taker, and Lesnar all retire for good. Takers only got a few years left, same for Triple H, and Batista. That leaves Lesnar to be the only part timer they have left that can actually "draw"

Ziggler tried to stand out... and as Jim Ross said, the guy that does that now is either going to be outstanding, or left out standing.

Dolph tried to separate himself from everyone else by talking some shit and taking it upon himself to blur the lines. He talked shit about Orton. He talked shit about Batista... now Triple H is (wait for it... waaaait for it) burying him.

Makes Cena telling Austin that everyone is "walking on eggshells" backstage even more powerful of a message. Nobody is allowed to do anything to stand apart from the rest.

Yeah well in those few years you have guys like The Shield, Bray, Big E, Cesaro ascending up the cards. All guys who don't put on sour faces when asked to do things top stars do. The company doesn't want divas acting like a 97 Clique. The only thing people like Rock and Cena could be blamed for is spoiling that company with such professionalism it made a benchmark WWE expects from all it's top stars.

Plus you still have Cena and Orton anchoring the company for quite along time more andBryan acting tippy top dog, WWE us far from fucked.

Once again think Tapout think.

Promoters are like mob bosses, they only do something with you if you bring them money or heat. People who bring you heat sleep with the fishes, while the guy bringing you money moves up the ranks. UFC fired guys for bringing them heat, they bury top stars for doing shit they don't like. JR just giving us inside info.

Thought the show was really good. Batista's opening promo was pretty good and Ziggler's part at the end was nice as well. Cesaro was a FUCKING BEAST in that match :homer:

Batista/Ziggler was a pretty fun match, nothing really special but easily better than Del Rio's.

That Wyatt's/Shield segment tho :mark: Best part of the show right here, I can't get enough of these two.

Main Event was about what I expected, solid way to close the show.
