The opening ladder match was pretty lame and randomly thrown together. Any ladder match where the first thing you do is set up dives and people just wait around for it is just completely stupid. Also don't know why they set up the ladder for Tigre Uno to just dive over it. If the intent was for him to look cool it failed in my book and looked like over the top nonsense. The ending also was anticlimactic after a hell of a sick move. I mean for fuck sake people were pullin' on Sanada's legs.
My favorite matches of the night were the main event and King/Aries. King/Aries progressed very well and actually had some crowd reaction that was warranted. The main event was a bit of a mess but the contrastin' styles worked really well for some creative spots and EY did indeed get crazy from the double Death Valley Drive to the flawless Elbow Drop from the top which was seamless after the spot prior. The way EY and Aries would work around Lashley when he was in the ring was superb and really showed how good of workers they actually are.
I didn't mind Lashley/Joe or Bully/EC3 either. Lashley/Joe had countless lame strikes from Lashley though that made me laugh. Is that really how he keeps a match goin'? C'mon son. No wonder he got nowhere in MMA. Bully/EC3 was violent and the spots escalated very well but god damn storyline influence hurt the match so screw that garbage.
So overall I actually quite enjoyed the show in the end for a show that felt thrown together for the most part. I guess the term "thrown together" could be used for about any TNA PPV, eh.
