If you still haven't picked up Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Best Buy and Amazon are both making it easy on you. They're both currently offering the game at a discount on all platforms.
Best Buy is offering the PS3, Xbox 360, and boxed PC versions for $39.99. For whatever reason, they're not offering a price cut on the digital PC edition. The Amazon deals are slightly odd, too. They've marked down the PS3 and 360 editions to $39.99, but the game's $52.99 on the PC.
Skyrim takes place 200 years after Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The wintry region of Skyrim is engulfed in a brutal civil war. Making matters worse, dragons have reappeared in the area and and seem to herald a prophecied end of the world. The player, blessed with the ability to slay dragons and absorb their power, must restore order to the landss.
"Few games can eat up your free time like Skyrim does. I've played a few dozen hours and still feel like I've barely touched the game. Skyrim has its frustrations but the journey is long, exciting and worthwhile," I said in my review of the game. Needless to say, I'd recommend picking up the game.
Bethesda says that Best Buy and Amazon's discounts will end next week.
