Sheamus Pushing For Undertaker At WrestleMania

- We noted last week that Sheamus said in an interview his dream WrestleMania opponent would be The Undertaker. Apparently Sheamus is trying to push the idea of that match internally so he's very serious about it.

The badass, heel Sheamus vs Taker I reckon would be an outstanding match as I think Sheamus is criminally underrated and I'd love to see this match however it's pretty obvious that Taker's days are pretty numbered and there's at least 3 (Brock/Cena/Rock) who should be in line to face him.

I am sure the match would be good and he would want that spotlight and payday, much like with Punk last year, but much like punk he doesn't deserve that card slot or status of one of Takers last matches. That should go to the 3 you named and Kane for the retirement.

Sheamus should be pushing for a Goldberg or Brock street fight though over that shit being wasted on Ryback

Not sure how they would set it up but match wise it would be pretty fun to watch. Even though I'm still in the boat of not being a fan of the whole be gone and just show up for mania thing if I had to pick I wouldn't mind Reigns vs Taker to build off the last time we saw Taker which was him being taken out by the Shield.

The match would be fun as hell, but I don't know how the feud would go about either unless Sheamus turned heel which I don't think I'd want.

Sheamus is a tough son of a bitch. Randy Orton wasn't very established when he faced Taker at WM a few years back. Sure he had a few world title wins under his name but he was still a younger talent in the business. So is Sheamus and I think him going against Taker will really boost his career up to a whole new level. He's already considered a big time player on Raw so I don't see why not. Rock won't do it because he probably won't even wrestle again. Although I would like to see Cena vs Taker as well.

Either one is fine with me.

Honestly can't see Rock doing anymore matches.

So I would expect it to be Brock/Cena/Sheamus in that order

Oh I know Sheamus is one of the toughest sobs they got. The thing at the time was Randy was the Legend Killer and the streak hadn't even been acknowledged but 4 years. It was never mentioned to Triple H pointed out Taker was undefeated heading into wm17, and that he himself had never beat taker before. Its become a different animal now from when the likes of A-Train and company were acceptable for him.

If Taker was guaranteed another 5 Manias, I would like Sheamus. If he's not I still rather see Rock, Brock, Cena.

I'd love to see Sheamus booked against Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Provided that Taker is healthy enough to work his style of match and the two can gel decently in the ring, it wouldn't matter if Sheamus lost. Put on a match that excites the audience, they remember you for how good you looked and how exciting that moment was. I don't know if Orton's Wrestlemania match alone made him, but by the time those two were done with that program, Orton was made to look like a top tier heel.

I think it's a good payday for a guy in Sheamus' position. Brock doesn't need it. Cena could probably do a nice job with Taker, but I'd rather see what kind of rub that match could give to Sheamus, even if it were to be Taker's last.

Yeah that is really why the whole you got to put a big name against him cause they are a threat thing is irrelevant to me. He could do a 30 on 1 handicap match they still aren't going to have Taker lose at mania. So all that should really matter is how good it will be match wise and feud wise when it comes to deciding who faces Taker.
