Scott Steiner has filed a counter-suit in response to the lawsuit filed against him by TNA. As previously reported, TNA filed suit against Steiner in June for breach of contract, saying that Steiner breached said contract (which had expired at that point) when he made remarks against TNA, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff, among others, and sought damages as well as an injunction against Steiner to keep him from making further comment.

Steiner's counter-suit, filed on the 10th of this month, claims that TNA breached the contract by failing to provide a contractually-obliged accounting of royalty payments, failing to provide statements of all merchandise and video royalties and failed to pay all royalties due. Steiner requested compensation in a "yet to be determined amount."

Steiner said in his filing that he never agreed not to speak against the company; thus, speaking out could not breach his contract. He also denied being involved in an effort to disparage TNA or its executives and noted that his contract expired and he never accepted a new contract. He wants the lawsuit against him dismissed and requested a jury trial should it go that far.

This whole Steiner/TNA saga has been so hilarious.

Those jurors would be the most pissed off jurors on earth after getting jury duty for a case involving a fucking wrestling promotion trying to defend it's good name lol

I think Scott Steiner for once in his career needs to take a backwards step and think about his behaviour. I couldn't believe all the swearing, threats and childish behaviour he was exhibiting after being released from TNA. He is actually fortunate that Hulk Hogan did not take some of his threats seriously and involve the police. Steiner is a failure and he is just jealous that Hogan (whether you like him or not) is still going strong in the wrestling industry. Steiner just couldn't get over the fact Hogan is better than him. Simples.

Agreed, but I also think that Hogan and Bischoff made the mistake of replying and acknowledging him (before their first lawsuit, I'm just talking about replying on Twitter) when the best thing they could have done was ignore him. They just added more fuel to his fire.

I think if it wasn't Scott Steiner making all the commotion then Hulk Hogan would not have reacted. I think Hogan actually said he thought him and Steiner were on good terms and Steiner had a great relationship with some of Hogan's family. At the end of the day Steiner probably just got frustrated and took things too far but that isn't really an excuse for what he said. Steiner isn't relevant anymore although he tries to pretend he still has something to offer. I was a big mark for him back in the day but he has seriously lost a lot of his fan base whereas Hogan's has always remained strong. I think The Hulkster was genuinely upset by Steiner's comments.

In before an out of court settlement with Steiner basically getting paid to keep his trap shut.

I wonder why Steiner wasn't allowed to bad mouth the company when he wasn't even under contract, a little odd to get a departing wrestler to sign a clause like that and not sure if it will hold up in court. TNA have been quite litigious this year with this and the WWE lawsuit and I don't think they have much chance in either. The only one they will win is the one against that guy that stole the data that he tried to give to WWE.

I like that Steiner isn't backing down from TNA and has responded with his own lawsuit. I doubt that this will get to court but it would be quite funny to watch if it does.

I think it's a matter of the company getting mad because someone was shitting on their product. If that was the case however, I think a few of us would be charged. :p

Honestly, this just keeps getting better. How can you hate the man who got away with saying dumb shit on TV. I don't mean horrible things, but his errors in speaking certain words and such. Just hilarious.

TNA should turn this into a Impact segment, ratings gold.

Steiner should start invading TNA house shows and then the fans will think that it is another angle similar to Matt Morgan's.

Please God, if you're up there, please allow Steiner to represent himself and have the court stuff on national television!
