Actually the only name on that list that looks slightly ridiculous is Dolph Ziggler. I guess I'm one of the few that thought Ambrose, Rollins, Cesaro, and Sandow were given much much better names then their previous names.

A name can be pretty relevant though. You just have to be good enough on the mic and in the ring to over shadow your name

Curtis Axel is honestly the only name that makes me want to wretch but already it's bothering me less the more I hear it. Like others said, if someone can get away with naming themselves Dolph Ziggler then names aren't too important. I's the general image of someone that you remember.

On Dolph though, wasn't his ridiculous name intentional when it first debuted? Originally Ziggler was a Slater-esque comedy character who went around to everyone to shake hands and say "Hi, I'm Dolph Ziggler!" before getting squashed. It made sense then, it was fun and stupid. Turns out he's usually on fire in the ring and wicked at bumps so he got over. Might have been a good idea to change Ziggler's name soonafter they paired him with Vickie, that's around the time they started changing up his look and image.

Point being, a name can influence a career.

Why must there always be people who cry over names? Sami is a girls name, Solomon is a mans name.....there it's settled.

And Edge would've got over if the company did give him Val Venis. Talent supercedes everything.
